“Great atmosphere, full on a Monday night, the server was knowledgeable and walked us through the menu with good recs and then showed us everything on the plate too which was nice because I don’t eat Eritrean food often. It was sooo so good. Every topping had a unique and delicious flavor. Meats were tender but firm and the curries were totally delightful. Big plus for being open later than most spots in the bay as well! Also very affordable. We’re coming here again for sure!“
“My oh my! There are meals that fill your belly but there are seldom meals that fill your soul. This is one such place that serves delicious Ethiopian fare that tantalizes your taste buds and fills your heart. Please visit Abesha, they deserve more recognition!!❤️“
“Absolutely phenomenal service. There was a very large party along with other tables sat and Ashely and Antwon handled it with so much class, even when the kitchen was backed up, and even when they were stretched over too many people. Simply incredible personalities and tact. I would absolutely return just for them alone.“
“I’ve searched a long time for an amazing Nigerian restaurant and finally found it at Ruth’s Buka! We had the meat pie (to die for! Definite try!!!) fufu and egusi soup with chicken (absolute must!), spicy beef suya (yummy)!, and puff puff (yes, yes!!!) we would make the four+ hour trip from home to come back here again! We also took home the kuli kuli and chin chin! Such a cute place and lovely staff! Lol they were quite surprised that a white grill ee so much about Nigerian cuisine!“
“First time eating here. I got the Chicken Curry rice bowl with the sides and hot sauce. It was so delicious!!! Amazing. And? Next time I’ll ask for less rice and more food on top. It was pretty rice heavy and wished I’d gotten twice as many greens. And weird - I only got one piece plantain, and? regardless- the my meal was amazing. Service was kind and friendly.Love this place!!!Welcome to West Oakland!! ??“
