The coffee is good but $6 for a 12oz? (Regular latte with whole milk no syrups). I have been twice and the first time there was a long line out the door and the second time a much shorter line. The coffee is super good and I think it's a great place to go on the weekend and sit outside if it's nice! I don't think it'll be my go to coffee place though because of the price. The scones were also $6 just a little high.

So many options. Best scone I've had in a year? Tons of variety on the coffee and food front. Come here for retail coffee to find rare and unique sources and roasts. Just enough space to enjoy a quick bite. Not a place to do any focus work or work. Loud. Social. Small. No dedicated parking. Has restroom.

I order a mocha and cheddar scone. I asked the cashier if they can warm up my scone and aggressively said no like she was offended I asked to warm up a scone. Like who the heck doesn't warm up their scones. The scone was bland. And the mocha was horrible!!! It tasted as if they used old milk! It instantly made me sick, I had to throw it away.

Was heading over to Brentwood via Antioch, where my friend was picking me up and needed some coffee as a morning pick me up. I have passed by numerous times but the lines were super long, however this morning it was manageable. I ordered an iced cortado and it took around 12 mins. The wait wasn't bad, as there were a good amount of people and the food offering looked tasty. Would want to try all the sandwiches, nibble boards and cans of fish on a lazy morning. With indoor and outdoor seats, and being close to all major transportation, I would go again.

The food is overpriced and dry. Don’t get the tea, it’s under steeped and weak and if you try to correct that they’ll throw it out and explain that they steep only for the correct amount of time.

Best made coffee I've found in Berkeley. The savory scones are tasty but a bit too salty for me to really complement the coffee. The beans vary: they get them from different roasters every month (?) so the flavor profile changes. The barristas are good at bringing out the best in the shots they pull, so if you're up for a little adventure give it a try.Vegetarian options: Much of the menu is vegetarian although not specifically labeled so. Oat milk is available for the coffee drinks so they can even be vegan.

Really great coffee shop, possibly one of, if not THE best coffee shop(s) in Oakland California, the coffee is really good, though have to say, the pastries are not the best, but that’s not to say that you shouldn’t go just because the pastries aren’t great, because like I said, the coffee there is really good, and my family frequently go here when we visit Oakland.

Was on my way to another coffee shop and missed my bus but I’m glad I did - happened upon this lovely spot. On a sunny day like today the outdoor seating is ideal, I ordered an oat milk cortado & highly recommend the “Trout Toast”. Apart from coffee and bites, they also offer specialty wines, Szechuan chili, canned fish, & other interesting delectables.

Love this place so much but please please pleaaaase price your coffee beans for sale! It's so hard to make a decision on what to buy when the shop is busy and I either have to wait in line to ask a price or interrupt a barista while they are working. Otherwise great coffee.

Unfortunately, the customer service was not great or friendly. I was met with a very gruff man at the counter. I ordered a chai latte, mocha, and a matcha latte for my friends. When I asked what kind of milks they served, he responded in a very rough, deadpan expression on his face, "all kinds." I chose oatmilk and he told me the total. I tried not to take his demeanor personally but maybe Sunshine shouldn't be taking orders and be the face of "Ain't Normal" for customer service. I asked if we sat outside, will they call my name, he said, "No, we won't look for you." Totally fair, but sheesh. The chai latte was alright, nicely frothed, but it was super mild.
