Good for KFC. There's so many options for Korean Food around Temescal Oakland that it gets overwhelming to chose one. We wanted a quick bite that was reasonably priced on the way home from Cal Day at UC Berkeley. Small restaurant with trendy murals. Azit was reasonably priced. I didn't realize that they didn't really offer Korean bbq plates with the assorted banchan but we were happy with what we ordered. The medium order of fried chicken wings were more than enough for the 3 of us. We wanted a dry crust instead of saucy so the server told us to get plain and green onion flavored. Nice crunchy crust and big pieces. We also got a bowl of spicy pork kimchi fried rice topped with an egg that we shared. A bit spicy but we liked it. We got there on a Saturday afternoon at 5:15 right after they opened. We were the only table dining in our whole stay there. There were a few DoorDash pickups while we were there. My only complaint was it smelled like a wet bathroom when we walked in. Kinda like how it smells when a dirty tile floor is mopped with bleached water that hasn't quite dried yet so some of the dirt and cleaner is still in the air. The bathroom sink has a weird design where there is no drain under the faucet and the water is supposed to trickle behind the faucet but a lot spills on the floor. The bathroom floor was still wet and waiting to dry and smelled like musty Clorox. Place would be good for to go orders or during a late night after bar hopping place.

First time trying AZIT. I went on a Saturday night. There was no wait, but the restaurant was almost at full capacity. My group and I ordered a few things, and they were quick to take our order. The food came out fairly quickly, considering how busy the restaurant was. The food was awesome! Parking was challenging, but it's worth it if you can find a spot. The bathrooms weren't the cleanest. I'll be back again!

Got it because it was open late. It wasn’t very good. Eatable but not enjoyable after I was no longer hungry. But service was fast and nice. And inside was clean and good atmosphere. Fine option if you’re starving at midnight but otherwise probs wouldn’t go here when there’s so many delicious Korean restaurants around

My go to meal from order boneless chicken wings with Hot & Sweet sauce and a side of steamed rice. I have also had the Azit Fried Rice. The Food:AMAZING. I am from LA and frequent K-Fried Chicken joints all around Los Angeles (K-Town and beyond). This spot is up there with their fried chicken. Crispy large pieces. Perfectly seasoned… not too spicy not too sweet. Great quality. The recipe is beyond good and the cooks blow it out of the water! Their menu is very diverse in terms of street food. I just like to stick to what I know. When I am craving K-fried chicken this is my go to in the East Bay.Service:Attentive, respectful, doing a good job. Sat me quickly, took my order quickly. Food took a little bit but they were busy with online/to go orders. Checked on e while I was eating. Helped me wrap up after I was done. They were efficient and that’s all I ask for when working in the service industry. No one owes me their kindness, regardless of whether I am paying. They were cool. That’s it.Atmosphere:The art on the walls is great! Nice size when not too crowded. Can get really overwhelming when it is busy (duh). Lighting is club-y but fun. Now to the noise level… it is loud. But this has been my experience with most late night street food joints. It doesn’t bother me at all but if you have a sensory sensitivity get your food to go for sure. I like that there is K-pop playing in the restaurant and Bachata in the open kitchen. That’s how I know my food will be gooooood. And it’s for the culture! I took off 1 star from the category bc it really is not accessible for people with sensory sensitivities. Clean, no bad odors.A Note About the Neighborhood: it’s Oakland. It’s Temescal. It’s very hip and a cool area. It is very diverse ethnically. Like all of The Town, there is a car break-in issue and homelessness is dire. THIS DOES NOT MAKE IT A BAD NEIGHBORHOOD. As always, be aware of where you are. And don’t blame humans for systemic problems.Ok. Enough ranting.Highly recommend Azit! As far as I can tell… Azit is a great place to Eat!

Holy shit this place is amazing. Was expecting subpar food and was met with some of the crispiest and most flavorful food I've had in sometime. Not one thing missed a beat. We really enjoyed the chicken wings, bulgolgi fries (crispy after 45 minutes too), and a kimchi pancake. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Shout out to both the chefs in the back, yall do great. Also shout out the single server managing 15 tables! As someone from the service industry I could never manage such a task! If you are in between restaurants or looking for something new try this and you will become a regular customer!

Man we were suppose to go to Moo Bong Ri Korean restaurant but it was packed and it was an hour and half wait. Luckily AZIT was next door and it was also on my bucket list to try. Azit overall rating: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Chill and dark, perfect place to get drunk with amazing food. Service: 5/5 very fast service, food came by really fast and no wait when we came in. Whenever we have a request they would come really quick and very nice about it. Food overall rating: 4.5/5 1. Spicy Carbonara Rice Cake: 5/5 Price: $20.00 My girl thinks is very spicy but fuck that the flavor was on point. I love the cheese, the rice cake, ramen, requested to add pot stickers and made it even more filling and worth it. The sauce was so cheesy and spicy very mouth watering and will recommend this dish and will come back here again just to get it. Only note add more bacon. 2. Kimchi Udon 4/5 Price: $14.00 My friend's dish got to try a little I think it's alright. It's good on flavor they really added a lot of fishcake in this soup. My friend said the soup is on point. She quoted,"Koreans know how to make their soup." Portion was really big, very shareable and worth the price. 3. Boneless chicken with rice cake 3/5 Price: $16.00 It was alright. Flavor is good nothing too special. We got the garlic and hot spicy. Need to add more rice cake on it. 4. Jokbal ( Braised pigs trotters) 5/5 Price: $48 When she got this I was shocked $48!!! And it took hella long. They had to catch the pig in the wild or something. But god damn, this was the star of show tonight. My first time trying this and that first bite with the lettuce wrap and added some kimchi and sauce. Wow! man the amount of juicy fat and flavor, so good. Worth the wait and worth the price. Need to add more side tho. But if you are drinking this is the perfect meal to eat with some soju or beer. In the end we forsure coming back here to get drunk. The vibe is there and can't wait to try the other speciality.

My family and I went because we saw their videos on Instagram and thought it looked really tasty. However, after going through and trying the foods that we saw on their social media, it was sad to say they didn't live up to our expectations both visually and taste. Aside from the quality of food, we were disappointed by their lack of service. There was this young lady working there who wore glasses that gave us lackluster service. They seated us at a table that barely fit the 5 of us and the dishes we ordered. We ended up asking if she could add another table to fit all of the things we ordered which she did, but the way she moved the table towards us in a rude manner was off putting for us. The ambiance of the restaurant was loud with the music blasting so loud you could barely hear each other speak. Overall, not worth going because the food doesn't live up to the way it's shown on social media.

I had Korean food plenty of times, the food was ok. The ambiance is definitely forward to a younger crowd.. Back to the food, I had the spicy carbonara rice cake. The portion was amazing but the ingredients besides the rice cakes tasted a little under cooked (mushrooms, noodles, onions, etc).

ive never ate this bad of bossam. and for the price too??? $42? def not worth it. at all. too much fat for garlic bossam. i felt like i was eating a lot of fat and not actual bossam meat. all our foods came out except for bossam which took literally soooo long. they asked us how the food us and we commented on the bossam and they said apologized and offered corn cheese or a small service NEXT time we come (if she remembers us)??? why not give us corn cheese or good service at the given spot?? theres no NEXT time for us anyways. never going here again. i literally dropped bank for bossam and its hellaaa not worth at all. sososo disappointed. also chairs were hella tight and space was so bad, people behind us kept bumping into us, which shows how little space there is between the tables lmao

completely love the vibe here, such a fun place to just come hangout and eat and have drinks for the night. food is great too, good variety of food while having your drink on. staff is awesome as well! can never go wrong with coming here, always a great time. definition of a real korean restaurant bar, just like in the k-dramas

Wanted to try some new spots after a long day and I'm so glad I ended up here. The flavors were so new and soooo good, the spicy carbonara tteokbokki was soft and chewy with a strong savory and cheesy taste. I was used to regular tteokbokki and this was a really nice surprise. Many Korean places in Oakland and Berkeley have been lacking on their corn cheese game but this place did not disappoint, it was sweet and cheesy enough for the infamous cheese pulls. Their onion chicken was the cherry on top for me. Super pretty super crispy and super flavorful. I wanted to keep eating but I had no room left. Had to save some for home and they loved the flavors too. Def the new late night food spot.
