Chow mein was decent beef could used a little more flavor but other than that it was good

Disappointed by the food... Sausage fried rice was bland and barely had any sausage. Soup dumplings were stuck together so they broke when you picked them up (and not very tasty). Pork buns had a lot of gristle in them.

Pretty good food, it just tasted like boxed/frozen Chinese you could make yourself. I enjoyed the soups and the hot tea was very good and not too hot.Great lunch specials and pricing!

The food had little flavor. Ordered the fried rice, hot and sour soup and chicken with green beans. Nice location and good customer service but won’t be back.

Ignore the bad reviews: they come from before the place changed owners. This is the best Chinese food delivery I've found in Oakland so far.The pesto chow mien was amazing. It sounds weird but it's not like Italian basil pesto, it's different and delicious. Peppercorn beef was also really good.Good spread of vegetarian options and the meat was good quality too.

Local spot in my neighborhood. 2nd time here and I really like it. The food is really good and attentive customer service.

This is a hidden gem. The service was exceptional and staff were very accommodating and attentive to our needs. I was surprised that the restaurant was not packed. We had our choice of seating and were treated to a delicious meal. I will definitely return and will tell all my friends about this great little hide away. Thanks Bamboo for an enjoyable evening....

So damn delicious. Can't believe how good even the green beans are, and I'm a meat lover

My son and I had the big boss fried rice today and it is very delicious! Nice restaurant and very good customer service. The waitress came to our table several times to check if everything is ok. We are very appreciated that. Definitely come back to try the rest of the menu.

Given the business owner's rude response to my original review claiming the bugs came in with me, I am updating this review to give the restaurant ZERO stars. Unfortunately Yelp does not provide that rating to select. As you all can see, Bamboo lacks professionalism and insult their patrons. The fried chicken which I previously listed as redeeming is not worth being treated poorly.

Greasy noodles, no seasoning in the fried rice. We did not feel nourished by this meal and it was expensive. Service was inattentive even though the restaurant was nearly empty. We do not recommend.

Bamboo Piedmont was perfect for our night out with a 3 and 4 year old. I wasn't worried that the toddlers would disturb someone's anniversary dinner or anything because it's very family friendly. The service was a bit slow because there was only one person waiting tables. But she was awesome and was doing her best. Expect a tasty meal, not fancy, and it won't break the bank and toddlers would do well there.

I really got excited when I found out there was dim sum on piedmont ave! Sadly, it did not meet any of my expectations. The most of the dim sum was average , but the steamed shrimp dumplings were very fishy and had a strange consistency. The main issue was the fact that the doorbell sensor kept going off throughout our ENTIRE MEAL. The owner refused to turn it off which made the whole experience very unpleasant. Hopefully I will have a better experience here in the future.

What a wonderful classic Chinese restaurant. The soup dumplings were perfect and the salt and pepper shrimp divine. The Longevity Tea was a wonderful surprise. Don't be deterred by the rope across the door, you can totally dine in once you have checked in with the hostess.
