I have been coming here for years because I like the food and the service. But yesterday was really different. We had to flag down a server every time we needed something - otherwise we were ignored. It was embarrassing because I brought my family there for the first time. I get that staffing is hard right now, but the servers deserved more support.

Went to Chop bar after visiting the OAK museum on Father’s Day and was surprised by the lackluster service we received. Ordered a Bloody Mary & glass of wine which was just the right amount of spicy but took a very long time for the waitstaff to check back for food order. In retrospect I think it was shift change because all of a sudden all new faces were working! Our original waiter said something happened with the printer and did we still want our order?!? It was just a bizarre scenario and was very disappointing. The burger was delicious btw.

The Chop Burger was great, as was the service. We ate outside on a nice night. It looked like they were doing a pretty good business inside, but the service was quick and attentive. I would come back here!

Had a Chop Salad and loved it. Great atmosphere and service, I would definitely go back.

The venue itself is comfortable and clean. The staff while quite friendly, is soooo slow. Like , really slow. The food - awful. Burger over cooked and far too small for the bun. The chicken torta had zero flavor, both were sent back. Chilaquiles were fine 3/5, fried wings were not crispy but did have food flavor . The only thing note worthy was the French toast which unfortunately comes out already dressed in syrup so you have no choice but to eat it first . Would not recommend , would not return by choice

The ambience is definitely cute and fun for a group, but the food was terrible. I think it's hard to mess up a hamburger, but the patty was more than well done when I asked for medium rare, very sad tomatoes, and avocado, and the bun was extremely dry and unappealing bread. At least the pickle was good. it tasted bad. $45 bill with a beer.

Great service the whole time we were there... they were responsive and kind considering our party arrived in spurts. We had a good time trying out this place. All selections ordered were great. Believe them when they alert you about the HOT SAUCE (Or maybe it was salsas...)

Food was good, actually pretty delicious but the service left a lot to be desired. Just felt very amateurish, and for the prices they’re charging, the service fell way short. From not coursing our meal and having the bottle of wine we ordered brought to the table open and literally dropped off, it was quite astonishing how incomplete it was. Did not even pour the wine. Someone, not our server, dropped the cheese plate and didn’t know the cheeses. Even after going back ‘to find out’ did not really know them. In fairness it was Mother’s Day evening, but it wasn’t busy and while we enjoyed our meals that were well executed, I certainly won’t go back

This restaurant has a tiny kitchen that serves a lot of meals. They do the best they can, sometimes they get behind. The atmosphere is casual and lively. The seems like a good place to watch the warriors game. We'll be back another time to try the poutine.

service left a lot to be desired. whether fine dining or casual, people go out to eat to be served. i had to physically stand up to ask someone for every thing i needed throughout my meal. server never checked to see if things were okay or what was needed & it was not busy.passion fruit cocktail was great, 10/10mussels were amazing & great sauce, but the bread that was served was day old & you could tell had been sitting out because i could hardly bite threw it & ordered fresh. 7/10The pear crisp had a last minute raw flour + water mixture ontop that you could tell should have been the “crisp” but it just tasted like flour. 5/10

The Chop Bar Burger is AMAZING and never disappoints. My child who doesn't eat burgers will ONLY eat the Chop Bar burger. It's been far too long and we had a quiet and DELICIOUS meal outdoors. Wait staff super friendly (could have been a little more attentive: I went inside to pay the bill). SO glad CB has fries!!

Cinco de Mayo was fun. Excellent ribs and good pig roast. Our server, Amy, was terrific. My only real criticism was the margaritas which tasted like they were from a mix or something. Not up to the rest of the meal, or the holiday.
