It's a wonderful little Japanese neighborhood restaurant, with excellent food and a very nice atmosphere. Very attentive staff. I found a new regular place for myself!

Under new management! Amazing service, felt so welcome. Some of the freshest sashimi I've ever had. Also they make home made ice cream in house you can take to go. The best I've ever had try the miso caramel! Can't wait to come back

This lovely spot by the lake has a new owner and they deserve kudos. They have continued your favorites from the past and also given it a fresh start with a great new selection of signature sushi from the chef at the sushi bar. The fish is high quality, fresh, best you can get! The tempura is delicate and so light! Lovely Plum wine! The staff is enthusiastic and attentive. They are really glad you're there and make you feel at home. They will tailor many dishes to suit you. Go ahead ask for extra sauce or for your preferred veggie in your tempura order. Right across from Lake Merritt, there is a glimpse of the water. The place is a perfect size, cozy and welcoming.

We got dinner yesterday, once we got home, my girlfriend and myself got food poisoning and we were throwing up during night, we were the only customers there and they took 35 minutes to bring us our food. Also they messed up our order and brought us wrong item. Would not recommend to come here!!

I was just at Coach Sushi before Christmas and had THE BEST Nigiri, tempura and chicken teriyaki!!! This is my Go To Sushi restaurant in Oakland, now. It's cozy and I love sitting and looking out at Lake Merritt. I believe this changed hands in the summer, and I think it was good before, but now it's GREAT!
I ordered pick up and had to wait 20 minutes while the staff ignored me with my food sitting out in the open. If you order pickup you might have to bother the staff multiple times before they forget about your order too.

The omakase nigiri was delicious! Highly recommend coming here for the kind and helpful staff and even more importantly the delicious
