Stumbled across Delightful Foods in San Francisco this weekend at Clement Streets Farmers Market & the owner was passing out samples of their top selling pies 1) sweet potato 2) apple 3) key lime & 4) lemon cheese. I bought 3 pies & OMG the lemon cheese is soooo good like something you'd taste in a Michelin rated restaurant & the sweet potato pie is also very very good I should've bought more perfectly sized & priced but more so the delicious fresh taste! My daughter knew exactly who I was talking about as she also had their sweet potato pie at a few street fairs in Oakland. Definitely look out for them at upcoming street fairs near you!

My family was acknowledged as soon as we started looking at the menu (something I really love) I purchased three pies and a ginger drink. Everything was fresh and tasty! My boys 7 and 8 left no crumbs lol THANK YOU!

This is a family owned family run family recipes pie business that has been serving the bay area community for decades. They have 19flavors of pies that you can honestly enjoy hot or cold, because they are just that good. Every time I visit here I have a hard time deciding now which flavor to get. Do I go with what I know for sure I enjoy or do I try a new flavor of pie? That's just how exciting all of this is. The crew is extremely nice and sociable and will offer you samples if not their own personal favorite flavors. You can really taste the home baked goodness in each of their pies. Some of my standouts are the peach, Mango and cream cheese, and the key lime. You sometimes feel like pies are a holiday type treat, but delightful foods makes you feel lucky that they are at Farmers Markets all year long. You can find them in San Francisco, Oakland, Richmond, and now Vallejo. I'm sure there are many more places they are bringing their baked goodness perfection too, so ask when you see them or visit their website!

So I recently had a 50th birthday, And my husband asked me what did I want for my birthday? I had to think because you know I had a lot of options and then I thought Ooo… All I want a Delightful Foods Bean Pie. We’ve been patronizing Delightful Foods for a few years now, and I LOVE their Bean Pie. I am extremely picky with regard to everything, especially my food. I’m the type of person to drive from Hayward to Napa for my favorite bottle of wine. Yes, they’re being pie is actually that good.As you see, this is what is left of my second bean pie. I discovered this gem at a food court held at kaiser Oakland!..they were selling ..and not just any pies..the BEST SWEET POTATO pie I've ever had(that wasn't mine)

Delightful Foods has a stand at the farmers market in front of Kaiser in Oakland on Fridays. They have a large selection of pies, both mini and regular sizes, ranging from fruit pies to key lime and sweet potato. I tried a sample of peach pie, which was really tasty, but ended up with a mini strawberry rhubarb pie. The gentlemen who helped me was very friendly and suggested reheating the pie in the oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. He also mentioned the pies will last about 4 days in the fridge if you want to save some dessert for later! The pie was delicious with a buttery crust and the filling was just sweet enough. Looking forward to trying some of their other flavors the next time I see them!

Sweet tooth kicked in. Was thinking sweet potato pie. Thought about making one. I googled best dessert in oakland and some interesting places popped up. Delightful Foods was one of them. Bean pie caught my eye. I got a small bean pie and a small sweet potato pie and they were both delicious. The owner and employees were very friendly. I want to gain 25 pounds of flab and this place is going to help me.

I bought Pecan & Sweet Potato Pie Tarts they were extremely pricey & $8.00 a tart. I actually bought 4 of them. The crust looked beautiful but was moist texture. I guess that means not so fresh. The sweet potato pie didn’t taste like any I’ve had or make myself & I didn’t care for it. Pecan had way too much gel in it for such a little tart & needed more pecans, but had a great flavor.. It’s a No for me for future purchases.
