Where do I begin? I have reviewed this place 3 times. They keep paying to remove my reviews! The driving force of the 3 black owned businesses on the same block closing their doors.Visit Oakland Board members Employed by District! In the yrs this place has been open they haven't added 1 popular alcohol for Oakland natives.(No Hennessy No Patron No Don Julio No D'usse No Ciroc)I don't drink it. But most Oakland natives PEOPLE DO! ‍The menu is a bland disappointment. It's an overly expensive dive! The decor is filthy. Grossly stained carpeting and couches.Sticky bar. Uncomfortable unattractive bar chairs.Bathrooms are beyond run down. The environment does not match the price tag.DO NOT PATRONIZE BAD BUSINESSES! Our business matters!

This was a last minute dinner decision for us and we were so pleased! The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. The vibe was great and the noise level was just right to be able to have a conversation!

We had made reservations for NYE morning to have brunch via their online reservation system about 30 days before. We even received a confirmation text the day prior and confirmed we were going. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the restaurant was closed until the evening. Luckily, one of the chefs was there and directed us to a diner nearby which was good but definitely very different from what we expected to be eating that morning. At least the chef was nice and helpful which is why it gets two stars (he would get 5 stars for his helpfulness).

GREAT PLACE FOR HAPPY HOUR!!!! If you are looking for a happy hour spot, this is your destination! They have affordable bites: wings, oysters, fries, deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts, and they have reasonably priced wine and spirits! This will always be my recommendation for happy hour in the bay. The fries were good, and they give you a large/shareable portion. The wings were tiny and almost looked like chicken nuggets, but my friend ordered though and I didn't try them. The deviled eggs are topped with a pickled radish. I didn't try that either, but it looked good. The drinks were good and staff was friendly. Love it here! Great location, but you have to find street parking or park in the lot across the street. I took Lyft.

Lovely vibe! Great music and service. I would totally recommend if you love some old school vibe.

This is a cool upscale spot in Oakland to get dressed up and go too. They play really good music as well (hip hop and r&b).

Not a good experience. We were a large work group and we were helped by Rafael and we had multiple issues. To start, we explained that we all have to expense our meals and he wouldn’t split the bill. That’s fine but then we said we needed to discuss what to do and he went and put in half of the table’s orders when we had asked him to hold off.He gave a girl in our group a ton of attitude when she asked if they had gluten free options and he scoffed at her and told her to order a salad. We also never got one of our pizzas and when we asked about it, he also gave attitude again pointing at another person’s pizza and said there’s your pizza. He then lied and said the missing one was about to come out but then it took 30 min for the pizza to arrive and we had to ask for it in a box because everyone else was done eating. Then we got the bill and he double charged us for the pizza. We could also overhear the staff talking about us saying “what’s wrong with them” which was just the cherry on top of a horrible meal. Oh and he included a 20% gratuity that he did not deserve and I believe he felt he could just treat us badly knowing he was going to get his tip.

Came in at the start of happy hour, very light crowd. That changed by the time I left at 6pm on a Tuesday. Full bar in the back-middle with the surrounding dining area, in clouding high tables. Slightly dim inside, there are a couple of flat screens and several liquors encased in the wall. I sat at the bar, comfortable seating. Ordered the Buffalo Side Car, a Buffalo Trace bourbon based cocktail, good mix of flavor and strength. Next was the Honey Ryder, made with vodka, honey and guava juice. Tasty. Try the meatballs and fried chicken sandwiches, both really good.
