Fresh, tasty Korean food to satisfy your Korean food cravings! Restaurant owner very nice. Located near Lake Merritt, so easy to take your food to-go and have yourself a picnic! The japchae was great, served warm. Banchan authentic!

I've only been once but this spot has a great vegan power bowl. It comes with fried tofu and veggies, though I also ordered the bi bam bap sauce to go on top. I love that sauce so it was definitely a good upgrade and it was delicious.

This spot is open for takeout orders, as well as delivery through UberEats/Doordash during COVID!I saw an Instagram ad for their spicy bibim noodles and had to try it. It's one of my fav dishes!Unfortunately their UberEats menu is more limited (less vegetarian options for my boyfriend) so we had to order for pickup through their website. The bibim noodles were more like a noodle salad. It only contained a few chopsticks full of noodles (which were spicy and delicious) on top of a larger bed of mixed greens, iceberg lettuce, and a few shreds of carrot and cucumber. I was a little disappointed because while the addition of greens is welcomed, the portion ratios are not traditional at all. Additionally it only had half an egg and 4 small cubes of salmon even though the menu boasted both salmon and tuna. My tuna must have swam away. The salmon itself was not fresh so I would not order this or any of their raw salmon dishes (like poke) again. This dish gets a solid 2.5 stars.I should've just gone for its namesake, the Dosirak, or packed lunch boxes. That's what my vegetarian boyfriend got, with fried tofu instead of meat. It came with japchae, one fried dumpling, rice, and a small salad with a scoop of potato salad on top. He loved it! Everything was super flavorful and the portions were pretty generous. We also got a side of small banchan to share. It was $3.99 even though most Korean restaurants provide this as a complimentary service. I wish it had stated which banchans it would include if it didn't let us choose, because there are so many out there! Ours had two scoops of potato salad (creamy and amazing!), marinated bean sprouts (yummy, refreshing, traditional Korean root side dish), and gochugaru-seasoned squash. The only one I couldn't finish was the squash. It was extremely bitter and perhaps raw? I would have much preferred the cucumber because I love cucumber kimchi but again, we didn't really have a choice. Overall there definitely were a few misses here like the skimpy raw salmon and bitter squash banchan but overall Dosirak Shop showed me its potential in its flavors and portion sizes. I would not recommend the Spicy Bibim Noodles, but would definitely come here to try something else. Great location just steps away from Lake Merritt too.

Been eyeing this spot for awhile and finally tried it out today. Called and placed my order for a couple of orders. We had the salmon Dosirak bento box, beef bulgogi bento box, Lake Merritt Dosirak box and KFC with sweet Chile. The Lake Merritt Box has fried potstickers, and beef stew, with tofu, mushrooms and japchae noodles. It reminded me a lot of beef sukiyaki and I like eating it by adding rice into it. The kimchi was very spicy, great for those who can handle spicy. I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food unfortunately. The KFC is it's own order so we simply added a side of rice to make a meal of it. There are two kinds of KFC and we opted for sweet Chile sauce one.The order was ready quickly, within 15 minutes, and everything packaged beautifully. Portions were healthy and food tasted fresh and delicious. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick pickup. It's right by Lake Merritt and would be perfect for a picnic lunch or dinner!

I have been here several times. The service is always great, better than expected. Is usually go for the Bibimbap and they load it up. The popcorn chicken is also a treat.

My daughter and I had lunch, chicken bento box, on Saturday and the food was delicious; we had enough to take home for another meal and at a reasonable price. We’re definitely going back to try other menu items.

This is my go to comfort food after a long day. Their Stone pot is SO good. I'll sit in silence at the steaming food, waiting for my rice to crisp. Delicious.
