I love this place. I’ve been going there for a while. It’s all you could eat. And they have a variety of appetizers.

Food is alright and nothing to write home about. If you’ve had excellent kbbq, you’ll know this place is meh. The ground is dirty as well and service is

Came here late on a Tuesday night right before closing and the food was very average. Usually my friends and I love beef brisket but the brisket here was very dry. The selection of sides was great and we mostly filled up on those. The corn cheese wasn't as good as other places -- most of the corn burnt onto the hot plate. Service was okay but they were kind to let us stay until closing instead of rushing us out. However, we thought last call was at 10:30 but it was actually closer to 10. Nobody was there besides us so ambiance was pretty dead but that's normal for a Tuesday night.

Service was great but was underwhelming overall. It also looked like none of the fume hoods were working so this was the most smoky kbbq experience I’ve ever had, the smell lingered on my stuff for days… the only good cuts we had were bulgogi and kalbi, the other ones tasted unseasoned and almost pasty. At $38/pp for ayce it was a decent value though

Recommended dishes: Beef Bulgogi

THEY HAVE SOLO AYCE. If you are a traveler in need of KBBQ, this is the place. I had the bulgogi, galbi, brisket, squid, corn cheese, soondubu, japchae, banchan (I was hungry) and all were satisfying, while the meats were really good. Kimchi was a little too tart (seemed over-ripened, not sure it's made on site) but totally decent, japchae and soondubu likewise weren't as good as a normal korean restaurant but great as accoutrements. Service was fine and I liked how they asked if I wanted 1 or 2 galbi pieces. Brisket was lean, bulgogi and galbi marinades were spot-on. Legit meats, legit smokey and dim interior, and now I have to return home out of state where none such experiences exist for a solo diner.

Had a wonderful dinner tonight with 4 friends! Made reservations in advance and were seated right away.We all got the AYCE, and it didn't disappoint. The service was amazing, which is important with KBBQ. We all remarked at how quickly we went from first sitting down with no food/drinks to all of the sudden ALL the food and ALL the drinks. It was like a kings banquet! Servers checked in regularly to ask if we wanted more of everything & each one was super efficient & on top of it.The kimchi pancake was unbelievable. One person ordered it & the rest of us were kind of like "hmm, ok. You do you!" but when it arrived it was easily one of the best things on the table. It was so crispy with a juicy interior, it disappeared right away, which says a lot for a vegetarian dish when there were unlimited mountains of meat dishes to be had. I thought I knew what a kimchi pancake was but obviously I had never tried the real deal. The regular chicken (non-spicy) was also a dark-horse standout. It was seasoned really well & we were all surprised at how yummy it was. We had a delicious amazing experience! Will definitely come back.(Not sure if the owners look at these reviews, but the only improvement would be if there were maybe purse-hooks at the table. Lots of times these are installed under the table very close to the table's edge, to the side of each chair, for ladies to hang their purses at their knees so they don't have to put their purses on the floor, under the table, or hang them on the side of the chair. These are cheap to install and are always greatly appreciated by the ladies or anyone who uses a purse or handbag)

Been coming here for almost 10 years. If you're looking for Korean BBQ, this is the spot. Best in the Bay. The hip-hop beats only add to the environment.

I made a reservation for 18 people but this quickly expanded to 30+. Gogi time was not only able to accommodate but their service was top notch. They were able to get me meat orders consistently and still change our grill plates frequently. My team dinner was satisfied and we all had a great time drinking soju. With a group our size we were able to fit the back room which was quieter for us and other guests. Highly recommended for group settings but I heard they may be changing locations soon

Second time here!I love how the menu is standardized and you don't need to choose 'prime' or levels, it's so easy for people like me who doesn't like to make decisions.Service is really good here, act fast and extremely helpful.Arrived here really early and didn't need to wait, it's better to arrive when it first opens.Meat is alright and I like the variety of side dishes, appetizers and desserts. Good value too!

I got fried rice to go before heading to a comedy show next door at All Out Comedy Theater. It was filling and delicious - my friends all wanted a bite.

My wife and I decided to take out our son and girlfriend for his birthday at this location but unfortunately it was a disappointment, we have been to lots of Korean bbq places like this and have turn out ok, good and real good but never that less we try it. anyways we sat fast enough since it was slow at the moment when we got there but once inside waitress she introduced her self got water for us at least and then we didn't see her for like 20min she look like she was having fun but with her co-workers until I waived at her she brought the food and it was something not very appealing, we eat but unfortunately my wife got sick after we got home so there not going back for us.

3-4 stars It's a love and hate relationship here.Sometimes the meat is great and sometimes it's not. For the price point it's OKAAAAAY. $38/personOnly thing worth it is the beef belly. Nice fat to meat ratio! The service varies each time I come here. Some days it's amazing and some days it sucks. It doesn't even matter how busy they are. Would I wait for this place? No. Not more than 20 minutes.

6/28/23As we walked in....... as we stepped over the threshold, threads of smoke snaked into our nostrils, and through the darkness a dingie dungie den appeared through wisps and larger clouds of smoke. And then visions of 80's Vegas casinos wafted about my eyes, the addicted sitting in front of bj tables and slot machines smoking cigarette after cigarette, begging tobacco tycoons to take their money........My 4month old baby girl almost died from suffocation....................... but she survived! And you can too. The galbi is thicker than most AYCE places' with actually a very good balance of marinade to toughness, the potstickers are EPICALLY fried...GAME CHANGER ALERT!!!-........... they got... CHEEEEEEEEEEESSSSE!!!!!!! Like as in, as a side. You ask and they plop an aluminum cub on your BBQ with I think a mixture of spicy nacho cheese and cheddar....... and OMFG it's AMAZING. I ate with dumplings. With galbi. With corn on the cob. I LOVED it so much I ordered it 4 times!--more than any other separate dish!Gonna give them props!Up to you if you think cheese is worth the lung cancer. It might be.4/5#kbbq #aycekbbq #koreanbbq #aycekoreanbbq #oakland #kopreancheese #cheesebbq #cheesemeat
