We love this place! The decor is small and quaint with only 4 tables. They are in a temporary location due to a fire so that will change. Still go in and sit down its a homey vibe and no one is ever in there as most people do delivery. The sushi is amazing. The rolls are great and so is the crudo. Highlights crudo the triple kinja and rainbow rolls. We have been having a tough time finding a good sushi restaurant to eat at and this is our go to spot now. The food is cheap but the fish is SO FRESH. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi. The staff is so great shout out to the one girl shes the hostess server and helps with the delivery orders! Do yourself a favor check this place out you wont regret it. Well be back soon!

Hands down my fav local spot. (Helps that it's just 2 blocks away.) But it's the only place with perfect tekka rolls. Places usually are shy on the vinegar which makes the rice bland but Kinja recognizes you need vinegar to add dimension and that umami sweetness to a roll! We usually have to get one tekka roll for each of us. Love all the rolls and really bummed they're not currently open! Hope that changes soon. :)

One of my two favorite sushi spots in Oakland. Their rolls are unique & delicious, not the typical rolls you find at just any sushi spot. Our fave is the S cubed. One of the few sushi spots to have donburi bowls- sake don is my favorite & my bf loves the tekka don. We've been patiently waiting for them to re-open. We probably call once a week to check bc we miss them that much!

My colleague and I stopped in for dinner after a work meeting. The server wasn’t very friendly, but it was worth it for the fresh fish. As we waited for a table, I watched a gentleman thinly slice the most gorgeous tuna. I had the yakisoba noodles with chicken and the portion was gigantic! It had plenty of flavor and the rolls my friend had were stunning. They have a call button in the table, making it easy to order. Delicious miso soup and tea! Definitely would go back!

My boyfriend and I got takeout here for the first time last week. I haven't found my go to sushi spot in Oakland, so we're usually open to trying new places. Decided to get a few roles to share- spicy tuna, salmon and avocado, and some nigiri + edamame. I was really impressed! The fish tasted fresh and the rolls were so delicious. The portion of edamame was gigantic and had enough for leftovers. Definitely recommend, and looking forward to trying it again sometime soon.

We got take out (sadly because Coronavirus outbreak) but I was impressed with the freshness of the fish. We got the beef stuffed mushrooms which were really yummy. The beef was a good quality and flavorful. Wakame which was fresh and tasty and the colt combo which was also really fresh and delicious. If they continue take out we will definitely order again and we look forward to dining in one day!
