This restaurant is doubtless one of the coolest restaurants in the area. Every time I come to this place I am deeply happy. They maintain their high level service and the topmost level of food they provide. You can never go wrong with this restaurant. Very recommended.

Had to wait an hour for my order while they said 15 mins. In addition the pizza was burnt and severely overpriced. Definitely won't try again. Pizza didn't taste good at all, kind of blend.

If you are craving for real flammkush, that’s the real deal!

I contracted serious food poisoning here. Avoid at all costs unless you want a visit to the ER. I had La Vegeterienne tart (which is really just pizza). I hope others don't have the same experience. Please be careful!

Delicious and authentic. Beautifully crisp thin crust from traditional (lardons/onion/emmental cheese) to inventive (lardons, chevre, onion and honey). Combined with a great beer garden it's like a little trip to Alsace!

This is a very nice operation that they have. They have a Rollin Smoke oven that they do a traditional French tart and use different toppings to suit your taste. My favorite was the goat cheese with the bacon and onion and then they do a drizzle of a little bit of Honey on top. Just a great thing to have when they roll up to whatever location is near a Brewpub. I happen to be at the new Brewery on Gilman Street in Albany I believe. The food is fresh cooked for you right then and there and it's not like an American Pizza so don't expect it when you get it but do expect to get something very traditional French. They're about the size of a small pizza and they run from 15 to $18 so they're a little pricey. But very delicious and also they're very healthy too.

Run by a husband and wife team from France, La Flamme = a traveling wood fired oven + a variety of cheeses + meats and/or veggies on the thinnest of crusts. Choose from a variety of combinations, more than 10 options available. I would recommend having this as a snack to share as opposed to a meal. $9 for half, $16-17 for a full one. I suggest it as a snack because it is CHEESY. A rich, cheesy flavor bomb. We ordered the Le Camembert as a snack with beer and between 2 of us, half was just the right amount to taste. 1 person could easily eat a full one as a meal. If they love cheese.

Went there last week. Or should I say tried to go there. I came all the way from Vallejo to Oakland to try their tartes flambées only to find another restaurant at the indicated address. I checked the address once again, the business hours, everything matched but NO sign of "La Flamme". As my boyfriend and I were in front of that other restaurant where La flamme was supposed to be, I checked the comments to have a clue on what the heck happened. I found out that they used to be in SF, downstairs of another restaurant. I figured it was probably the same situation there. However there were NO sign that would suggest that. Not even a little sharpie written sign on the door that would say La Flamme downstairs. Nothing. My boyfriend then called and a woman answered the phone. He told me that it seemed that she was struggling to speak English and didn't really understood what she said but thought she said something like "not today, today is closed". Even though I went there on a Friday and it was about 7:30 pm, and the business hours indicated it was open. I figured he probably misunderstood and decided to call myself to speak to her in French. It rang twice and I got sent to voicemail. Yup, she hung up on me. í‡a fait toujours plaisir. Meh, it's not like I wasn't born and raised in Alsace, I can make my own damned tartes flambées

We ordered 12 tartes for our office holiday party. Anne and her husband arrived just in time and set up the tartes while they were still hot. Everyone loved them. It was a much better and elegant option than ordering pizzas. Thank you, Anne! You did a splendid job and the tartes were absolutely delicious and beautiful.

I went to a winery in SF and there was a small kitchen set up outside where they were selling these pizzas. It was the only food option available so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the vegetable pizza with cheese. Price - pretty pricey, our pizza was $17 Portion size - I split the pizza with a friend but it wasn't very filling Food - yummy! I enjoyed the pizza and wanted more (but not for the price) Service - came out very quickly I wouldn't call this your ordinary pizza - it's a pizza on a very thin crust and was covered in various cheeses and vegetables. I was a little thrown off because there was no tomato sauce, so I guess you can call this a white pizza. Overall, it was a pretty good pizza. The vegetables were roasted nicely and the crust was crispy. I was a little disappointed because I was still hungry after eating it, which I felt I shouldn't have been since it was a $17 pizza. Again, it could have been because I split it with someone but I felt that it was still a little on the pricier side.

Really delicious savory tartes made by a great French family. Highly recommended! They have tons of options but I love the classic (La Traditionnelle).

You will not find another authentic tarte flambée anywhere in this part of the U.S. In fact, they are as good as the ones you find in Alsace, where they originate, and better than ones in France that are not in Alsace. I spent a year in Strasbourg and ate tarte flambée once a week, so I know you get the real deal here! Plus Anne, Jean-Luc and their 5 children are wonderful!

Serendipitously came across these cooks at Forage Kitchen and ordered because it was a beautiful quiet spot. The tartes were surprisingly amazing. Baked in front of us in the wood fired brick oven outside. Super thin crust pizza that were sweet and savory. Not sure which says they are here but if they are it's a special treat.

They have really good tarts. I think it was better than some tart I had in France. It was very hard to find. (Downstairs at Pachino.), but It was totally worth the effort to find then. After I picked up my tart, I only meant to eat half of the tart instead of whole but it was so good I ate all of them. I had bacon, onion, and cream. It was very good. I will go there again.
