This is my go to spot for Mediterranean food in uptown Oakland. I really enjoy their veggie falafel plate, the foods is always fresh and the portions are legit. I call my order in every time and it's ready to be picked up when I walk over from my office. The pita and falafels are still warm when I walk back. Winning all the way!

Okay wanted to try this for a while drove, 20 minutes to get this, chicken was dry, hard, salty and was not fresh too salty for my taste.. I can tell I got leftover chicken crums at the bottom so no the chicken in all was not freshly made. Had to throw it away. The salad was okay bread was cold from the refrigerator also not fresh.

I ordered online and the food was ready when I arrived. The interior has seating and is tidy. The food was well seasoned and a good portion. The chicken thigh and rice were delicious. And the humus was creamy and made with love. I will be back.

This review is long overdue! The food at Lotus is delicious and fresh. I love that when you order a plate meal you get a great assortment of foods to enjoy so you don't feel like you're missing out on anything! I've used them for business catering and they are wonderful to work with. I'm a big fan of the falafel plate and the chicken shawerma.

I've been on a constant search for the most authentic falafel sandwich and this is the closest I've come to it so far. The owners are friendly and seem to work the shop most of the time. I heard a couple of regulars coming in and joking around with them, which I always appreciate. My ideal falafel sandwich is simple: hummus, tahini, and some tomatoes and pickles. They don't try to pack too much into it. It's an easy bite that keeps the falafel the star of the show. Takes me back home for a second. I will be coming back again to try more items for sure.

I wanted to focus on the service which is also amazing. you really feel like you're a part of their family here and that's something that is difficult to find these days.The food itself is amazing. The food was incredibly flavorful, you got to try both the kebab and the chicken, I couldn't decide between both and had to have them both. The rice is very good and the hummus is a great pairing for the meats and rice as well.The stuff was very nice and friendly as well as patient especially when you go in for the first time and you're asking 100 questions and then you end up getting the first thing you asked for and they still tell you it's a good choice

Walkable, super enjoyable, friendly atmosphere. Get so much for the price. The falafels you can eat by itself they are so good. Got the beef and lamb plate, came with salad, hummus, pita bread, lots of meat. Will be back again!

people talk about the shawerma but i dont see anyone talking about the burger!if you like juicy, moist, fast food style burgers these hit the spot. uncomplicated and delicious. there are some spices there too, either from the grill or on purpose. everything works.the fries were golden and crispy. i ate them before i could take a photo
