Low Bar is a place to go for drinks. Their food is good for happy hour as a snack but not really if you want a good portion-sized meal. The burger is just a burger small portion and tastes like a normal burger. The nachos were good! Loved the cojita cheese addition. Overall, go to this place for some drinks and small bites.

Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really yummy food! Definitely a spot to grab a drink, grub and chill.

Love the new menu, and it’s super reasonable for the portion size and quality! Don’t miss the tuna tostada or the chicken nuggets!

Food and drinks are tasty. Overall service is always off. Latest visit they complete forgot the order one person in our group (only three of us) and when we tried to get their attention to ask about the whole missing plate and drink they ignored us. We ended up sharing the one of the meals. They then charged us item we didn’t order. One of us had to walk up to bar to get that settled. Not sure we’d go back - at this point not sure the food outweighs the lack of consistency in service.

Came here for the oysters... they don't serve oysters. Also, avoid the yucca fries. Way way too much salt. Redeeming factor is the service was good and so were the cocktails. This place sets a very low bar.

It's not easy to be a restaurant owner nowadays, but the way this place continually tries new menus, events and community-driven projects to better the food and drinks scene in Oakland is awesome, and what our little town deserves. Also, I'm burying the lede but the food and drinks are AWESOME. Deadbeat summer and mellow deadbeat for the NA folks, new items like the tots and tuna tostado slap. The burger. The burger! Phenomenal service from the staff. What more could you ask for? Come through and give them your money; you will not be disappointed.

Wanted to watch the 49'er game but the bar with a TV was too packed to get in, so headed to Low Bar & very glad we did! Not only did they have delicious cocktails, but Daniel & Sam were awesome bartenders! They were friendly, helpful & excited to talk about the interesting booze they had & how they used them to make even more interesting cocktails. I would highly recommend Low Bar for those who enjoy cocktails!

Low Bar was a cute little brunch/lunch place and we got to sit outside since it was a nice day. Ordered A Burger which included 2 smashed beef patties, American cheese, bacon, and pickles on a brioche bun. I love a good brioche bun so it really set the stage for the burger. Though there isn't much sauce, the burger itself was pretty juicy, especially for a smash burger. The bacon gave it some more flavor and texture which contrasted the softness of the bun. Overall not your traditional burger but a very good one.

Stumbled in here on a quiet Monday night in the new year after an evening of Banya. The occassion called for a celebration: drinks and food. And at 9 pm in Oakland, that can sometimes be tough. But we walked into the bar, filled with dates, solo customers reading at the bar top, and a back room of blissful diners. Hoping the kitchen wasn't closed yet, at nearly 9:30, we were told we had time to order. We rushed in more food than we really needed. But each of us picked what sounded most delicious to us. I ordered a cocktail with mezcal that was a bit too smoky for my liking. But that toddy, with fermented pineapple...DELICIOUS. The food was giant portions for tapas. I INHALED the salad. It was the yummiest thing I'd eaten in months. Like clearly, there is a chef preparing food here. The wings were spicy, perfectly fried, and tasty. I don't know if the fritters were plated with hummus, but...it was ABSOLUTELY savory and yummy. And the entire spread was $90. By Oakland fares (with cocktails), I think we did good. As a couple living on aspirations, it was a splurge. But I'd do it again. And I'd make my way through the cocktails as I returned. Ohhhhh....and while leaving, we found a photobooth. It managed to snag about $12 from each of us, but who doesn't love a good photobooth photoshoot?

Birria Fries are delicious, the cocktails are crafted beautifully, and the service is to notch. Came in on a Tuesday night during a little vendors market in their back room, so this place was poppin'! We waited for 10ish minutes to sit, which was quick given how packed it was. There was only one server for the entire evening, but he absolutely crushed it. Can't wait to return and try their happy hour next!

I can't say enough good things about Low Bar! I hosted a holiday party here last night for a local professional organization, and Low Bar was the perfect venue. The staff are so thoughtful, organized, and attentive, and the food is fantastic. Low Bar is really the place to be if you want fun, casual vibes but high quality food. Their private room was perfect for a 30-person event. The price was reasonable for the high quality of food, cocktails, and service. Our guests ranged from graduate students to retirees, and folks from all walks of life remarked on how much they loved the location.Justin was our server, and he was the dream to work with. Friendly, professional, attentive-- he really made the party a success. I felt like I could just show up and Justin and the Low Bar would make everything run well.Their event manager Sam was also a joy to work with and made everything so easy. The location is perfect for public transit accessibility, and there is a parking lot across the street.Don't sleep on the churrros! The food here is amazing.
