Tried a smaller local place this time and it didn't work out. Pasta was Barilla and overcooked. Once something is burned, the entire meal is burned. It shouldn't have left the kitchen like that. Meatballs were 200% cooked but the sauce was good and it ended up being the best thing I had there.

We eat here a lot but service is getting very slow and uneven. Bar is always backed up, last night we waited over 45 minutes for our drinks and over 1 hour for our first course. Tables seated after us were served before us.

Beer selection is not okay. Food is good. You see where my priorities lay... B/c they're supposed to cocktail nicely together.

One of our favorite neighborhood date night spots. Highly recommend. Great drinks, appetizers and entrees.

Friday night was busy. We had a reservation for 8:30 however it took a while for the previous party to leave. The food was amazing. Loved the Brussels sprouts and the fennel salad. The pizzas were perfect - even though we were thinking broccoli pizza may not be to everyone's liking, we all enjoyed it. The pear bourbon and pecan dessert also hit its mark.

Good food, and great service. Our server was outstanding. It is also an cozy inviting restaurant in an area of Oakland I have never been before. Glad I picked it for a work outing.

Delicious fired pizzas ranging from standard pepperoni to weird-but-somehow-Delicious brussel sprout pizza. Staff is super attentive and friendly, even when it's packed and they're clearly rushed.Kid-friendliness: We sat outside with a toddler and it was great!

Recommended dishes: Spicy House Fennel Sausage Pizza, Brussel Sprout Pizza, Burrata, Wood Roasted Half Moon Bay Brussels Sprouts

We had a delightful time at one of Marzano's special wine tasting events. The wines were delicious and interesting, with generous pours, and there was a lot more (delicious!) food than we expected. An incredible deal! Also the set up was casual and welcoming so we had the option to sit with others if we wanted to - we met some great people, and it made us want to do it again soon. Thank you so much for being here, Marzano!

Ordered pizza for delivery. Pizza was thin as paper, barely any cheese or sauce. Pizza also cane ice cold. On vaca and very disappointed with the pizza.

A great neighborhood place out of downtown...with great food and ambience. A tribute to the resilience of The Town that this place still rewards its guests with wonderful food and ambience. Always a treat. Pizza is first rate and don't miss the chicken arrabiata!!

A neighborhood gem! The pizzas are perfection and the food, wine & cocktail offerings are seasonal and delicious. Marzano is great for families or a date night. The team is professional, yet fun and friendly. This place is reliable for a good dining experience.

The ambience is warm and welcoming. I love the octopus appetizer and enjoyed the crispy chickpeas sewer delicious. One the best pizzas ever with sausage a perfect crust for my taste more New York Italian style. Wonderful and delicious cocktails. The soft serve with select your topping was wonderful. You can't go wrong at Mariano's

Each time we've had dinner here we've been welcomed and served by super friendly staff. Their wood-fired pizzas are delicious with a nice chewy crust and offer different varieties from other pizza joints. The mushroom "bolognese" was a really nice mushroom Alfredo. Even if you don't like mushrooms you'll enjoy this dish with cooked spinach mixed in. The Brussels sprouts were great and came with a mayo sauce on the plate, but you could easily enjoy the sprouts without the sauce. Their cocktail menu was enticing, including several bourbon cocktails so I was happy. We had the pear, pecan, bourbon crisp which was tasty but could have had more bourbon flavor and more cinnamon-sugar on top. Their outdoor seating is covered and heated and they offer blankets so we had no trouble sitting outside on a wet evening. I'm looking forward to going back and trying the broccoli rabe pizza that the staff was raving about.

Marzano is a wonderful restaurant with reliably delicious Italian dishes and great pizza. While the menu is not vast, there are plenty of excellent options that never fail to please. A nice wine list and good cocktails add to the experience and the fact that we are supporting a woman and black owned business makes it all the better.
