Their to-go sushi was thoughtfully packaged, accompanied by an exceptional (and complimentary!) miso soup, and the sushi rolls exceeded my expectations! Simply delicious, I can't wait to come back!

We went to try this new sushi restaurant on college avenue. It's relatively cosy (5 tables and a bar) but punches above its weight. I ordered the nigiri combo and all of the pieces were high quality and fresh--next time I will upgrade to the Nigiri Tasting to try their more unusual fish. The lobster roll (languistina) and smoked salmon salad were also excellent.FYI, This is the sister restaurant to Judoku sushi, so if you like Judoku I think you'll like this as well. But this place seems less focused on interesting rolls and more focused on doing simple things well!

Some of the best sushi I've had in recent memory. Beautiful and delicious. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the ambiance is intimate and relaxing. A great dining experience. We'll be back!

Love this place! Really good sushi, lots of fish and roll options, very kind staff. It's a lot quieter than nearby Judoku, which is nice. And they decorated my sashimi plate! So cute. Would absolutely recommend!

Incredible new sushi spot on College Ave! Everyone was so kind and welcoming. Chicken Karaage is one of my all time favorite dishes and Misaki's was GOOD.All of the rolls were incredibly fresh, the rice was perfectly cooked and the serving size was generous. We even got to try one of their new pasta dishes and it was phenomenal!Highly recommend!

Met friends for dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of parking on College Ave. For a Wednesday evening the place was quite empty but the ambience was warm and welcoming. We were seated immediately, and miso soup and water were brought to the table. We had a hodgepodge of food ranging from the bento box, hand rolls and classic rolls. The portions were abundant and everything tasted very fresh and delicious. Overall a great time and meal.

I'm so obsessed! Just when I thought that I had found my favorite sushi spot in Rockridge, Misaki opens up and takes the reigns. The FOOD is just friggin' spectacular! Deliciously fresh and filling sushi rolls and bomb a** bento boxes at your service! I am so, soooo impressed! Misaki takes over Judoku Sushi's old building (as they've moved down the street). The setup is pretty similar to that of Judoku's, but they've spruced up the decor. Misaki is actually the newest sister restaurant of Judoku, and the similarities are hard to miss. I love Judoku so it's no wonder that I've quickly fallen in love with this new spot. But I'll be honest; Misaki has definitely become my new favorite.Been here four times now (three times for dine in and once for takeout), and every single time has presented a wonderful experience. And let me just get this out of the way; Misaki has the BEST lunch bento special that you're gonna find on the block, PERIOD! Shall I elaborate?! I think so. First off, the proteins are scrumptious. I've had both their salmon and chicken teriyaki and both are excellent. The chicken is super moist and they marinate the hell out of it without overdoing it on the sauce. The salmon is so tender and fresh. The grill lines are perfect and they provide a nice meaty filet which I so appreciate. The mixed tempura is to DIE for. When I say that it's perfectly deep fried in the lightest panko batter... I mean that sh!t! The crunch, the flavor. It's truly heaven in my mouth and then some. The miso soup has great flavor and arrived piping hawt. And those ROLLS! Dear Lawd. Lordt! Dear Lordt.... with the T at the end because honey, they mean BIDNESS when it comes to those damn sushi rolls. Of course, the classic California Roll is nothing to be messed with here. The crab is so pleasantly pungent and the avo pieces are fresh and bright green. Also adored their baked lobster and crunch rolls! So much flavor goin' on in there, and they really know how to pack them thangs! You won't leave here hungry, I'll tell you that much. Service is personal and attentive. There's usually one gentleman who's manning the fort during lunch time when I come, and he is always on it. I love how intimate and relaxed the environment is here. Maybe people haven't caught on to them yet, but I've been enjoying having the place damn near to myself during lunch. I've been dreaming about their rolls and their bento boxes as of late. Misaki has definitely become my new favorite lunch bento spot! Currently forming an addiction to those bentos, but I'm excited to work my way around their menu too. Welcome to the neighborhood, Misaki! I heart you! ;)

This place is intimate, service is attentive, and food is delicious. While it's owned by the larger sushi place, Judoku, the menu is different and the vibe is completely different. My husband and I really like the more relaxing and intimate atmosphere. I recommend the carpaccio appetizer, the Kikusui sake, and the nigiri and Rainbow Dragon. Buy the chef a beer and you might be surprised by a treat!

Such a wonderful, authentic, cozy, sushi dinning experience. This place was where the ever-so-popular Judoku Japanese restaurant was. It's is now the place where if you really enjoy, like I do, indulging in fresh, authentic, sashimi, and other well prepared authentic dishes, then you must try this place!Master-Chef, Jun is a wonderful and friendly host. He very much wants you to have the best experience when you dine-in. That's exactly what we got and you will too.We come here when we are visiting from San Jose where we live. We enjoy the food, and mainly we enjoy being taken care of by the staff and they are attentive and friendly. We always like to order the Sashimi Omakase, mainly because it's the better choice when you want to eat fresh cuts of fish, that are so mouth-watering, and delectable, what more do I need to say? We also order very tasty sides, like Chicken Karaage, Tenpura, Agedashi Tofu, and the kids usually order Combo Bento or other items, but if you really like Nigiri Sushi and/or Sashimi this is why you will want to come here.We recently celebrated my mom's 94th birthday and she really enjoyed the sashimi and Jun's hospitality. We very much, highly recommend you come to visit and indulge in a very authentic Japanese eating experience which will surely remind you of, if you've ever lived, or been to a small restaurant in Japan.

We came across Misaki several months ago as our original plan was to eat at Judoku Sushi not knowing they had relocated. We are so glad we stayed! This is the place to go to for fresh, high-quality and beautifully presented sashimi. We were so impressed with Misaki, we drove all the way from San Jose specifically for their Sashimi Omakase to celebrate a family birthday this past week. My mother, who is particular when it comes to sashimi, was very impressed. In addition to the sashimi, we ordered chicken karaage, agedashi tofu and assorted tempura which we all enjoyed as well. The staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive. Give this new restaurant a try!
