I've been craving Nepalese food, especially chili momos because most Nepalese restaurant don't have on their menu and won't make it if you ask. I also order Dahib Puri and curry chicken. So the food arrives and I take my lunch.I was so looking forward to it. The chili momos were disappointing. They where dry and not enough sauce. There was hardly any bell peppers and not what I remember having in Nepal. Then the curry chicken. I think got the butter chicken, but definitely was not curry chicken and it was supposed to come with rice and it didn't. They gave nann instead.Well it was a nice try but once you've had authentic Nepalese food it's pretty hard to duplicate. I will go back to making my own c-momos. Especially with the cost of eating out these days.

Green apple cilantro.. YUM! Tastes just like those sauces/chutneys at the restaurants.

Just started trying their food from Alameda farmers market and WOW! Amazing chutneys and dumplings and all kinds of good stuff. Can easily be frozen and lots of vegan/vegetarian options. The food is super flavorful and some stuff has a great kick, big fan. I highly recommend you try them if you see their stand !

Namaskar Foods is always one of my favorite stops at the Mill Valley Farmers Market. I'm a s***** for Indian & Nepali street food, and these guys have some of the best in the Bay. My go-to items are the Chicken Samosas (4 for $10) and the Chicken Momos (8 for $6). But what really makes these dishes sing are the authentic dipping sauces for which Namaskar is famous. My personal favorites are: Green Apple Cilantro; Creamy Garlic-Mint; and Jalapeno Chutney. Everything is always as fresh as can be. And you sure as hell can't beat the price. If you're looking for some exotic food for lunch/dinner, or you want to treat guests to some yummy appetizers at your next party, then head over to one of the local farmers markets and pay Namaskar Foods a visit!

Regular at farmer's market in Mission Bay (which is about to be shut down). The momo and pockets are vegan (served with no yogurt). I found the momo a little bitter for my taste, but still good. The pockets are good too ($12 for 4), although a touch heavy, but go good with the dips. Definitely worth trying out.

I am a fan of momos so will order it whenever I see it at a restaurant whether it is Tibetan or Himalayan. So imagine how excited I was seeing Cheryl's review of Namaskar. However running across them can be a challenge until I surprisingly saw them at the SL Downtown's Farmer's Market on Wednesday. Immediately buying their last two packs and having them keep it on ice while we browsed the rest of the market, it was a no brainer what was for dinner that night. Delicious on its own or with any of their sauces like that green apple one.

This is the central kitchen for all the blends of pre packaged Indian and Nepali food which are readily available at farmers market through the week in an around Bay Area. Go and find all the options. And helps us to review and keep it at best. The only thing that lacks in this venue is the poster. I suggest just to keep a poster outside which helps people to know whenever they want to visit the venue.

Their sauces are amazing. We get the veggie roti with 3 sauces: garlic mint, green apple cilantro, and tomato raisin. Put a dab of each on the roti and you'll be in love.

A pretty simple food stand where everything is pre-made, so it's just scooped to order from the trays. Nepalese food is not as common as other cuisines, so I definitely appreciate their presence at a farmers' market. But there are enough Nepalese restaurants around for me to realize their food was just "A-OK", not anything super memorable (e.g. Bini's Kitchen food stand), hence the 3-stars. Chicken Momo: Probably the highlight of the meal. The dough was soft and chewy. The inside was dense and meaty and nicely spiced. It tasted great with a little red sauce and little green sauce. Veggie Momo: A stark difference from the chicken momo. A rather bland filling that was heavy on the greens. Loosely packed together so the filling just spills out after your first bite. Chicken Goji: I really liked the dense curried chicken filling. Paired very nicely with the raita. The exterior dough was quite disappointing though. Soggy and greasy. Maybe it tastes better right out of the fryer, but this seemed like it was deep fried a long time ago. Mango Lassi: Standard. A good complement to the spicy red sauce.
