Great coffee shop to get a delicious cup of latte or cappuccino. Their empanadas are yummy. I like their avocado toast. The place is usually clean. The have had received poor reviews because they refused to serve cops in the past.

Terrible. Note: Anti-American establishment - STAY AWAY!Coffee tasted burnt and the service was beyond reprehensible. Purely disgusting of a place. Will never return and will not recommend this Sh*t of a place to anyone else.

Love this place. We make sure to come here every time we visit Oakland. Coffee is so rich (try the Gold Brew! *chef's kiss*) and the food is consistently delicious (empanadas + vegan conchas are our favorite). Not to mention the staff is super cool and friendly. 100/10 recommend to everyone, especially those who want to support local, liberated and inclusive businesses

Dont go in here if your in a suit, work for a corporation or in a government uniform... WOW, Im so surprised of the anti government propaganda on the walls, really disgusting. The employees are trashy, demeaning and disgusting, I will never be back as well as my staff...GROSS..

Super dope and kind folks. Very thorough service. I ordered some vegan conchitas and the team loved them. They let me borrow their coffee dispenser, and when I brought it back they served me a fresh cup on the house (gratis). Definitely return! Much love family

My first time experience was very nice at Hasta Muerte. Like culture inside with walls decorated in meaningful photos, and treats available for everyone. As a gluten free vegan I was super please with their choc chip cookie and my non vegan mom absolutely loved their iced mocha with oat milk and the concha's. They had biodegradable cups as well so worry not if you are being eco friendly was trying to get an energy boost :) hey have new hours and do not always close at 2 PM.

Food was good. The girl working the register was definitely nice! But the other girl is a negative asset to this business. There's been a couple reviews already where they've left a bad rating due to the poor quality customer service and that could ultimately lead to this place losing a star. As was the case in our experience. It's not hard to treat customers with respect especially when you get paid to do so!

Honestly the empanada was good and so was the conchita it's. My issue is with the fact that I ordered and waited for like 20 mins and they then gave my order to someone else who got there about 15 minutes after me. I waited and was thinking "I think that was my order..." but I didn't want to be rude so I waited another 5 mins. I then go up to the register and tell the barista I think someone took my order. She was like oh I'm sorry but that was the last empanada of that flavor and offered me a different one. Which was totally fine! The empanada was good. So the barista calls out my drink and I walk to get it. She goes "you just ordered I don't think this is yours." And I respond with "I ordered 20 minutes ago you gave my order to someone else." She continues to not give me the drink until the cashier tells her the situation and then she goes "oh" and hands me the drink. Listen. She didn't hesitate to give my order to the lady who came in way after me, didn't even question it. Just interesting how people get treated differently... annoyed left feeling pissed off. Especially when I could've been rude when they gave my order to someone else. But I've been a barista and I know it happens. But to be treated rudely for no reason while I was nothing but polite is ridiculous.

I have never had anything here that wasn't amazing! Empanadas? Hot, fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Sopes? Same. Every latte I've had is so complex but tasty. I really love this place, I will drive 20 minutes plus to visit.

NO! I DID NOT just want to use your bathroom. And even so - I told you on the way in I was going to order coffee, but I had to take my daughter - who was in a wheelchair to the bathroom first. And THEN when I got back to get my coffee - I was told to "JUST GET OUT!" The bathrooms are for customers only :-( What in the actual hell.

I was travelling through this area and stopped for coffee. It was without any doubt the worst coffee I've ever had. I politely let the staff know I thought maybe something went wrong because it didn't taste right. At first they were also polite and asked what the issue was and I described it as really burnt and like it had soap in it. The person with no explanation exploded and started screaming, "What the hell do you expect? Coffee is made from burnt beans. GTFO!" I was shocked and had no idea what to do so I just set the coffee down on the counter and left. Terrible experience and even worse coffee.
