Found oaktown cafe through Nextdoor. What a gem in the neighborhood. The owner is super friendly. The food is delicious. Definitely give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing! New go-to lunch spot for sure! Fresh, healthy, huge portion, great price, friendly staff. This place is amazing! Currently no sign out front so look for the big yellow/blue building and go on in! Exciting to see a place close by with vegetarian friendly options. Will definitely frequent this place for more healthy lunch time picks!

The Chicken Cobb Salad is fantastic! They are at a new location and not fully opening until August 1. Right now just salads and sandwiches. They don't have a sign yet, but it's the bright yellow building on the corner of MacArthur and Lewis. The owner is very friendly and service is good.

I was just at their new site today with a friend. We both had the spinach salad with bacon, egg, avocado and mushrooms. We had a long conversation with James, the owner. Grand opening is Aug 1 and they ARE now open for breakfast @ 7 am. His goal is to encourage healthy eating. Adding multigrain waffle, eggs and a couple of proteins for breakfast. My friend and I hung around in the comfy chairs up front to catch up and were there for a couple of hours. James was happy to leave us alone except when he brought out freshly baked cookies. Oh my! Be sure to ask for them. We both had the coconut macadamia but the chocolate chip looked yummy too. If this is an indicator of food and service, James and Oaktown Cafe at 599 MacArthur SL will be a hit!

Heard about Oaktown Cafe on Nextdoor as a great place to get salads & that they had recently relocated to San Leandro. Decided to give it a try & so happy I did. Cobb Salad was excellent (as was the spinach salad my friend ordered). The owner was there & we had a lovely conversation. Excited to go back & try breakfast. Prices were very reasonable.

Had a Cobb salad today, and when was the last time you had sliced avocado,tossed with organic greens & other heart healthy veggies portioned enough for two. Restaurant is super clean and Mgr. is welcoming. A great addition to the neighborhood.
I LOVE the salads here. I go out of my way to have one almost every day. The produce is so fresh, the combinations are interesting and varied. Probably will live longer because of this place

We were in a mood for a good sandwich & salad so we tried Oaktown Cafe. I had the Tuna Melt and my husband tried the Chicken Cobb Salad. They were both delicious! The salad was fresh & my Tuna Melt was a perfect blend of juicy. The owner was very kind & welcoming. We shall be returning with our kids. Can't wait until he's completely up and running so I can try the pizza.

I start coming to late. Good place for salads and slushies. I stalk to the who work there and he informed me that there lease is up at Durant square. There building a gym.

Ordered three sandwiches to be delivered by DoorDash. All the sandwiches had more bread than anything else. One piece of lettuce. A slice of a piece of bell pepper. The veggie sandwich had One small piece of each vegetable offered. Very skimpy on the ingredients. The meat was scarce. One piece of lettuce,one pickle circle and tomato slice on dry bThe order was 50$ with no chips or drink. The delivery driver was not identifiable in her street attire. Nothing stated DoorDash except her announcement when she arrived.
