The folks who run the place are absolute gems, and the food is bomb! The auntie is so kind and often gives food to houseless people. The boats are fun of course! Best time to go for boats is 5-630. There are vegan options too. It is my go-to sushi spot in oakland.

Come here once every weekend to treat myself for lunch or dinner/happy hour. Staff is amazing and kind. The food is great. I love the rotating little sushi boat. Probably will keep coming here for the rest of my life!

Conveyer belt sushi and a massive pan-japanese menu. Nice interior aesthetic but review based on takeout. Overall, one of the better cheaper places for sushi that is open after 9 (until 9pm) but not particularly good in general as a sushi or Japanese spot. Strongly recommend against non sushi dishes.- Great value sushi. Highest priced rolls are about 17 bucks which is a bit cheaper than elsewhere. Food is decent but nothing amazing.- Rolls were a bit hit or miss. The spicy tuna was surprisingly good while the 49ers roll was mediocre.- Teriyaki chicken was terrible. Dry, tough, and seemingly microwaved chicken. Minimal sauce. Accompanying fruit was not good (warm melon?) and salad dressing seemed spoiled. Supposed to come with soup, rice, and salad. Rice was fine, salad was 4 pieces of iceberg, and no soup.

The novelty of the rotating sushi was overshadowed by the mediocre quality and lack of variety.

Very tasty sushi and friendly service. I hope to come back for the dine-in conveyor-belt/boat option.

We stopped in for a quick lunch. The sushi was delicious. The service was great. Will definitely be back for more.

I think we've been coming to this place for the better part of a decade and just started again (after a covid break). We were probably going here every other week before covid. It's still the same place with the wonderful hostess. It's fun for adults and kids to gather around the boat carousel and pick off your meal as it floats by. Or order from the hostess or the sushi chef behind the counter. It is a relaxed atmosphere, oftentimes with relevant sports on the telelvisions. The sushi is consistently good to great and reasonably priced. I'm really happy we we've re-established the tradition and look forward to many future visits...
