I've been here twice. They burnt the burger the first time. Tonight I got a medium rare burger with a side salad. When I got home the burger was cold, clammy and raw. The bottom of the takeout container was filled with blood, ruining the salad. No pressure on the kitchen because the place was empty and I know why. My dog enjoyed her $20 burger. Friends shouldn't let friends go to this place.

I ordered a Mac and cheese and it took them an hour to find out there was no noodles! I don’t like this place never again Greek salad was bad food was cold, my grandma didn’t get her food! Lemonade was watered down.They do not have good service all the food came out cold and bad, I REALLY DON’T LIKE THIS PLACE I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN.????????????

Good food and a nice range of drink options.The new service model restaurants have adopted where one server has to cover the entire restaurant doesn’t work. I hope they dump it.To be clear- the server was good. The service was bad.

Really good for an afternoon drink on College Ave. Stick with the beers- lots of choices on tap. I had an Irish coffee which left some to be desired. Airy and good circulation sitting outside … even in the rain.

I'm very comfortable coming here alone at night for a beer and a bite to eat. Sometimes there's a small comedy show going on or a game on the TV, always friendly bartenders.

6 of us went for lunch. Service was terrible and slow, had to hunt down our waitress for anything and ask for things multiple times. Clearly understaffed for lunch on a Saturday. Kids grilled cheese literally had no cheese on them (looked like it was wiped on with a brush). Fish and chips, fish was ok, fries were cold and topped with coleslaw which made no sense and made the cold fires even worse. Used to come here but won't be returning. Much better options in the area.

We watched the finals of the 2022 World Cup soccer match there yesterday morning at 6:45 A M along with 200 other locals. Service was exceptional. Food was shockingly delicious. The vibe was energetic. Thank you Golden Squirrel Pub for a great first impression!

I felt my experience was absolutely terrible. Burger came out twice 2-3 levels overcooked. Even the fish and chips were poorly executed. Wait staff had serious attitude from the beginning. I used to come here but never again. Much better options available elsewhere.

We used to come here once in a while when it was called Barclay's. Still has similar vibe. Comfortable pub atmosphere. Good selection of drinks, nice selection of food including vegetarian options. Very good service.Outdoor seating is plentiful.Very good location on college avenue. Not far from rockridge BART, supermarkets and shopping.

We came here during the Halloween street event, a group of 3 parents and 3 infants. We placed our order and after waiting 55 minutes for appetizers we were told the food would be out in a matter of minutes. 10 minutes later I attempted to inform someone we needed to leave, a woman said let me find my husband. Our server then came out with 1/4 of the order which I asked to place in a to go box as we had to leave. I paid for the food and left the other two families to get their food when it became ready. I later found out that the other parents were told the order was canceled, although paid for. Unreal.

Great food, great beer...slower service. To be honest the servers were really nice just super slow bringing out stuff. I don't know if stuff was just forgotten, but took a while to get everything. However, when we did get it, all tasted delicious! All the potatoe based dishes were amazing on top of a delicious burger and fish from the fish and chips. Would definitely come back!

Although I came here for Sunday brunch, I decided to get the BLT instead and enjoyed it a lot! The crisp bacon was accompanied by even crispier Focaccia bread. The one thing I didn't like about the sandwich was the raw onions. I generally find raw onions too harsh, and this sandwich had a significant chunk, though not enough to overtake the sandwich. The potato chips that came with the sandwich were like a fancier, heartier Lay's, which I liked. One of the things I especially like about this place is the reusable cloth napkins.
