SO laid back and easy. Two beers on tap. Three speciality cocktails and great fresh waffle fries. And staff that rolls with whatever comes their way.

Went for pride bar crawl in September 2023. Pretty small hole in a wall bar. There’s tables and seating on second floor. They have movies playing on the projector which is cool. It was a little hot upstairs, no fan or ac playing. Cool vibes and I would come back. It was surrounded by plenty of eats and drinks. Very great walking distance.

Three stars for the Impossible Burger I didn't expect to like, minus sixteen or so stars for the vibe of the staff. I get it, I get it! It's a busy Friday night in a cramped bar and you're probably at your absolute limit with drunkards and the debauchery they invite. But honey, you chose the job. So I know you've got it in you to go in on the customer service! I believe in you! Unfortunately, it felt like my friends and I got stuck with a round of 'tenders who didn't even believe in themselves. The drinks were subpar and the service just didn't hit the mark. I'm hoping next time there's more to the visit than what we got this go-round, because we pretty much ate, took a sip our ultra-meh drinks and dipped. And trust, you wouldn't blame us if you had the same experience.

I fr fr cannot believe how terrible my experience was, and I'm an optimist the vibe of the place was really cool, the DJ was good. However, every time I tried to order, the guy (behind the cash register!!) refused to take our order. He kept pointing to the guy next to him, who was very clearly busy making drinks and taking orders, to take our order too. "Oh you want food? Ask him. Oh you want drinks? Yeah order that with him." Not sure if the guy was the boss and making an employee do all the work, or if the guy was just a lazy a**hole. The food. Jesus Christ for being a bar, everything was unnecessarily spicy and bland. They tried to mask the bland flavor with extreme spice. I came in drunk and hungry, super disappointed.

Cool little dive bar. Bartender was very nice, atmosphere nice and chill, prices good. In an area I wouldn't walk alone at night but other than that great spot. Will be back for sure!

Love this spot. A little divey. I was trying to watch the Sixers the other day and the new bar tender was playing awful music. To each their own, but goodness, make it sonically tolerable

My first dive bar in Oakland and I felt the Oakland welcome on a Friday night.Yankee doodle, but don't forget Yankee candle.

Not sure why it's taken me forever to check out the Hatch but I absolutely love it! The bar food is so good and they're open late. Pairs great with their drink selection. There's plenty of seating and a second floor. It does look like it can get a little cramped when busy - but that's my imagination. I went around 11pm on a Thursday and it wasn't so bad! Also gotta add that the bartender is super chill and the music here is def a vibe. Will definitely have the Hatch as a go-to spot for late night food.

Really fun friendly dive bar with tasty bar food. Loved the personality! The bartender was super friendly and full of jokes. Wasn't the best Manhatten I'd ever ordered, but far from the worst as well. Still enjoyed it. :)The burger was very dense and greasy. The fries were shoestring thin, crispy, and salty. Absolutely perfect fries. Condiments available in packets only. The bar opens up to a large parsley with outdoor music and a lively scene.

The shots and vibe for drinking is great. My grilled cheese was burnt a lil too much and the chicken could have been cooked longer the loaded fries I f*cked up so fast they were so so good

A solid dive-y bar in downtown Oakland. A pretty big outdoor parklet space and dark and chill indoor space. A few beers on tap, and the spicy margarita was excellent (so next time I'll try more cocktails). The food menu is quite big and we had the totchos, which were crispy and a bit salty, but good and a bit portion and lots of nacho sauce and sour cream and jalapeños on them. We also had the carne asada quesadilla which was also pretty large with decent steak and some cheese, along with little cups of sour cream and a quite spicy and tasty salsa on the sicde.

Went with a couple of work colleagues yesterday. As it was still early, around 5pm, the outside tables on the street are a nice touch. Food is better than your average pub food, as we tried a variety of tacos, burger, fries, Philly cheesesteak, etc. Portions are great for the money (post-pandemic standard!). We don't know the area well, but this street overall seems reasonable, and this pub is a great stop for food and a beer. The attraction for us was actually to eat, then go to Bar Shiru a short walk away.

Best tots I've ever had! The tachos were delicious too, perfect snack to end a night out!
