kayla is an amazing bartender and we had an fun experience at your establishment. I recommend this bar and I will be returning with my coworkers more often. The only concern I have is that there needs to be security available at an earlier time - we experience individuals who were not paying and arguing with the bartender just to take space and for free drinks. There were no security guards at the time m. She needs security and it needs to be a safer space .

I love this place! Saw a great show with great performers and nice servers a whiiile back. I want to go back, but there's nothing on the website that says if it's every Sunday or just some, or what time the show starts, and when I try to make a reservation, it sends me to a non-working page. I hope you're still doing the shows, Port! Anyway, I liked it so much I think one of these days I'll just show up and hope it's on.

Back in April 2023, my girlfriend and I visited the Port for a lovely sunday afternoon boozy drag show! It was absolutely stellar.... sooooo fun! We even started talking with other guests that are from Napa (where my girlfriend resides) We would absolutely return here for everything from the drinks, culture, laughs, and of course the performances! This is definitely on our list for the future! Thank you, Team Port, for your fabulousness!

After Oakland Pride Parade , we decided to watch the Sunday late brunch drag show that started at 2pm. There were food trucks on the side street and it's also a good way to support local businesses. The NYC local hot dog stand was delicious. There was also a burrito stand as well. For the Port Bar, my neighbors ordered double gin and tonic and I got a Long Island. Really good drinks and the bartenders were great. The drag show was held outside and the Port had outdoor seating which was nice. Highly impressed with the performance and I would recommend coming here to enjoy a nice after brunch drinks with visiting friends and families. The staff were super chill and very nice. Cheers!

I'm always here for the Friday Chocolate Kisses party! Fantastic environment with great lights colors and music. A diverse menu of experiences Throughout the week, including karaoke nights, drag shows, drag bingo and much more! Oh boy, I gotta mention the dancers! The hottest oakland boys are here dancing and taking all of your tips, because it's inevitable to spend all you cash when they start moving. My favorite bartender in the world is here... he just knows what he's doing with those mixers. Doug, I love you! Best drinks I've ever tasted! And the colors even match my outfit! Anyways, 10 stars to this little spot in the middle of oakland downtown! I will continue to come here and show love to this spot! Great vibe! Awesome people!

I was really enjoying this bar, was becoming a regular but after the other night when my table was given by the host to their friends while I was out smoking.. I felt really disrespected.

Have been here for a few parties, most recent being a western themed one. Always good times, especially on nights that Jeremy is hosting.

Was very disappointed. I've passed this bar a few times and have wanted to go in but it was always packed. Tonight was less packed and I had a friend in town visiting so we decided to go. The lady at the door was so cool, but once we got inside that's where the hospitality stopped. My friend and I went inside to the bar to get drinks. There were 2 people being served so we moved down just a bit from them thinking we'd be next to be served. The bar was empty because they were hosting karaoke in the back. Instead of greeting us or asking us to move to the center of the bar to order, the bartenders continued to take drink orders from random patrons who walked up after us and never greeted us or even acknowledged our presence. We were obviously being ignored so we left and went to a bar around the corner where the experience was completely opposite. We were immediately greeted and served and made to feel like we were welcome there. I'll never try to go to The Port Bar again nor will I ever mention it to people visiting as an option. I was expecting a great experience but we were totally ignored and made to feel unwelcome by the bar staff during Pride month nonetheless. It was a total let-down as I was looking forward to experiencing this Oakland staple, but it felt more like a rusty nail.

This is my go to spot after my weekly Wednesday happy hour at Agave. They have a great drag show, excellent music and an ultra queer vibe. Be warned that their drinks are STRONG. This is usually a good thing for most but if you plan on driving or have already had drinks, this will set you off so plan accordingly.

They block off the entire sidewalk on weekends and force you to walk in the street. Super unsafe, also that can’t be legal???Wheelchair accessibility: There is none

It's a good local gay bar for hanging.

Love the whole rainbow vibe in here, and it's next door to the Paramount, which means it also has the theatre cred going for it. It seems like the ideal spot for an LGBTQ+ oasis, but Jamie W. and I hit this spot just as they opened at 3PM, way too early for a rave to start much less gain momentum with a packed house of glitter-dusted half-naked men. Fantasize much? No, we just watched the young bartender setting up the bar for weekend business. That's when we had the time to peruse the beverage menu and saw their specialty double cocktails were going for $20 each and shots for $12. We had a bit of sticker shock, but we got over it. Jamie ordered the New Year Lychee, a refreshing tall one with Grey Goose Botanical Vodka, elderberry liqueur, tonic, and lemon/lime garnish (photo: bit.ly/3AOLbbt).I felt like something blue and ordered the Oh My Mai, a tantalizing mix of Coconut Bacardi Rum, blue curaçao, lime juice, and orgeat topped with 1796 Santa Teresa Solera Rum (photo: bit.ly/3HAOM0x). The drinks had the right spirit, but I think they would've been better later that evening with Erasure blaring from the speakers. Next time we'll coordinate a nocturnal visit after a show at the Paramount. Yeah, that's the ticket.COCKTAILS - 3.5 stars...appropriately spirited spirits though kinda priceyAMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...rainbows in a rather crowded spaceSERVICE - 3 stars...not too social, appeared to favor the youngsters that came after usTOTAL - 3 stars...come at the right timeRELATED - Exploring Oakland? Came out to support the Wednesday Drag Show, and the performers did not disappoint. The show was held in the back room, which filled up quickly. Great music and loved the audience participation. There were two bartenders working and they had a great rhythm between them. Drink orders were filled fast with a side of chit chat. Very welcoming vibe.
