First off, I wanted a hot dog but was served a hot link as my chill cheese dog. Second, it came pretty sloppy with watery chill n not much cheese, if any. The taste was below average. My friend got the sweet n spicy wings. He was very disappointed. Last, the pricing is outrageous. 15 dollars for a hot dog. I paid 19 for chill and cheese but got a hot link. Come on now. I get that everything is expensive these days, but outrageous is crazy. I can see if it was a combo or something, but it's not. Side of fries 11 bucks is crazy. Winky dinky ain't worth a winky dinky!

Had the Mac N Chz Winky Dinky w/ Beef Hot Link after asking the gentleman at the register what his favorite thing to eat was. Large helping of delicious creamy (not too creamy tho!) Mac N Cheese heaped on top. Had to use fork and knife. Been eyeing this spot for a while. Do not regret coming here. Will come back for sure. Ate at Roy's next door w/ a cold beer ??

Support family owned, local business!!!I like it a lot! Vegan friendly-they prep and cook on separate griddles than the meats. Oh! They make their own dogs too!They have a large variety of options. Can handle large orders on the fly. Our team loves the gumbo, doggies and me of course the vegan.Great service.

Omg! Was hoping this was super hot dog spot like the ones in LA! And it is so official! The jerk sauce on my hot link dog was so good!! This was a good quality link! So I'm excited to try the vegan dog next! The buns are a great vehicle for these high quality meats! They will toast the bun on request! Service was great, easy and quick! The vibe are so Oakland! Chill for a bit and watch some tv, or stop in for take out! I love this addition to downtown Oakland! Winky Dinky!!!

My cousin had heard some good things and as we were talking about it in the store, one of the other customers agreed and started raving about them.We got there and it was a vibe immediately. Doubled up BoomBoxes playing good music. The manager's commitment to customer service is unparalleled. Winky Dinky Dogs is not just the best hot dog place in Oakland. It's a must for anyone who appreciates good food and even better hospitality!

Cool ambiance, pleasant service, and the hot dog was good. I think the menu should show the prices. Why are the prices hidden? Is this the Ticketmaster technique or something? $16 for just a hot dog is too much. I could go to Hot Boys down the street and get an excellent chicken sandwich with fries for that price. I ordered the World Famous Hot Dog Co. It was delicious, but it had jalapeños in it and they were not listed on the menu. The spiciness overpowered the other flavors. I want to like this spot, but it's too expensive for what it is and I don't appreciate the hidden prices.

How can you possibly find something wrong with Winky Dinky Dogs. You can't. It's magnificent. Made me love mayo on a dog. Plus the Hollywood shuffle reference is awesome because that movie is amazing.
