I love this cute little cafe that sells empanadas and alfajores, it's such a treat. They have so many different flavors, my favorite ones are the chocolate/white chocolate dipped ones. The ube alfajore has an amazing flavor and the right amount of sweetness. I think they 're also a wonderful gift idea

Worst coffee ever!!! I came by here because I parked in front of it. I was on my way across the street to Red Bay Coffee, where I really should've gone, however is a cute little spot the people seem nice and so I went inside. I was drawn to their selection of cookies because they were gluten-free for the most part. However I did notice that in the refrigerator case it was a cookie with some chocolates matches and it didn't look quite so neat. I looked on the wall and saw that they had coffee drinks and asked for a mocha. I expected a mocha that was good however that wasn't what I got. What I did get was a mess and you can look at the photos to see the mess I received. First red flag was that my coffee was lukewarm. Actually lukewarm is probably warmer than what my coffee was. The second red flag was that when I tasted my coffee it tasted like water. There was absolutely no flavor, actually there was minimal flavor but it wasn't good and so I didn't drink it. That was because there was some little bits of something kind of granular on my tongue after I finished my sip of my mocha and that I knew was not good. Third red flag was when I opened the cup of mocha and saw that I took two very small steps. And over half of it was gone and there's like a fuzzy thing around the cup where the coffee had been drunk. I know that I am mixing up the words coffee and mocha but what I ordered was a mocha and what I expect it was a mocha. And what I got was a hot mess and for that reason even though the cookies may have been OK, it was hard to enjoy them because the coffee was horrible and awful! They are closing which is probably a good thing. Maybe they need to stick to making the little cookies and other things, however, I do have to say that the alpha Horae with the chocolate in the middle and the coconut around the edges sings matches of chocolate on the top of two others that's just gross! Never again!

ALERT: I just found out that this cafe is closing for good! So now is the time to visit if you've never stopped by, their last day is 11/30! You've gotta support this place in their last days if you like delicious alfajores. I've only every gotten coffee and alfajores from this cute cafe and everything I've ever had has been amazing. I was holding off on this review until I could try more things but no time like the present. The staff is always so nice and welcoming and the space is small yet comforting. The alfajores are so perfect, the cookies are soft yet crisp and all of their fillings are delightful and flavorful. They offer an array of flavors so I can't even remember all the flavors I've had, but I know that the mint one was my favorite as I'm a big mint fan. I'm sad to see this place closing :(

Cute little cafe where I get my coffee. They carry all kind of goodies here. Their alfajores are always delicious. I tend to get the ginger ones bc they are always good. They carry all kind of gifts too, if you go and check them out, you’ll leave buying something.

Looking for a different café experience this is the place. Small and quaint. It has Argentinian influence. Coffee done right. All types of alfajors, small cookies with dulce de leche in between. Do yourself some justice and fully immerse yourself. Empanadas, alfajors and a whole mate service. Give yourself a Argentinian experience. Everything legit.

Omg I came to this place by accident but they have such amazing baked treats! I have a huge sweet tooth and I'm very picky about my sweets and I can say that their stuff is incredible! Also, it's locally based, LGBTQ owned, immigration owned! I'll be back to try everything here!

I was really excited to visit but will not return. The good: loved that they serve "submarinos" (chocolate submarine in hot milk) and other Argentinian offerings I enjoyed when I lived there. The bad: service was slow and rather rude. I think we waited 30 minutes for empanadas and a drink when all they had to do was put the empanads in the oven to reheat? There were 2 people working but it didn't seem to be enough. One person completely ignored my friend when she asked about her order. Then it turned out they had forgotten her order and we had to wait even longer for that.

I seriously want to love this place. But I was just super underwhelmed. I got a few alfajores, an empanada and a truffle. I got the kale and butternut squash empanada. It was a pretty good sized portion wise but I instantly did not like the filling. It was too salty and mushy. But I am starting to think I do not like empanadas in general. I have yet to eat an empanada that I like. I got two alfajores, the fig and hazelnut chocolate. The cookie itself was bland and the flavoring needed to be bumped way up. The truffle was pure sugar bomb which I hate to say. But it was seriously like it was described. A lump of dulce de leche and chocolate. it was insane and I love sugar. Super urban vibe which I respected. Pricing is average for bakeries now a days. Street parking. Located in the weird Oakland area where it's hard to find parking and the roads go every which way. I think it's worth trying at least once.

Such a lovely cafe with such sweet staff! If I'm not mistaken the location is POC owned, if not most of the staff are either POC or LGBTQ+ which is hella inclusive. Mushroom + gargonzola empenadas are a hit without question. You think you want only two, grab three just in case. You can't go wrong with any vegan empenada here. They have a vegan special of the week as well as their house fave, the butternut squash empenada. Also who knew oatmilk matcha lattes and empenadas were a match made in Heaven? If you're on the go, call ahead. They'll stick your empenadas in the oven so they're hot for pick up and don't forget ask for a side of chimichurri!

Lovely atmosphere to work or meet up with a friend. I didn't get to try any of the empanadas or alfajores, but the drinks are great!

Mmm empanadas. I'm always craving them and I'm a fan and the ones from Wooden Table Cafe, specifically the Pollo and also the Kale and Butternut. They were baked and not fried, which I preferred and the fillings were really delicious. ...although, I should probably mention that I needed a fire extinguisher after eating one bite of the Spicy Beef LOL! If I dare took another bite, tears would be coming out of my eyes and my sinuses cleared for days. I can't handle heat at all. My hubby on the other hand enjoys spicy food, ate it, and also thought they weren't joking when they labeled it spicy! The Pork empanada wasn't labeled as spicy when ordering via DoorDash, so my mother-in-law got an unexpected surprise when she tried one. Yikes! So...if you're like me and walk on the mild side when it comes to food, call ahead or ask which ones are non-spicy.

This place is so cute and cozy. Perfect for small bites and coffee scene. Very warm and friendly service. We tried the meringue and traditional alfajores. I really liked the traditional ones. Very different from peruvian alfajores but quite nice. Would love to try more from their menu.
