They had a good selection of breakfast items. Not much flexibility with substitutions. There is an automatic gratuity charge on every order. The food was good and serving sizes generous, even for the kids menu items. The staff was super friendly and

The food and coffee was really good, but the service is what makes this place great. If you're staying at the hotel or just want to swing in for a quick breakfast, I think you'll be happy with this friendly and affordable spot. Our server was incredibly nice, the food was just as we ordered it and it comes out QUICK!Each morning we were greeted with a smile and conversation. Hard to find good customer service like that anymore.

This is not a restaurant!!This is the hotel cafe with outrageous pricing for the bargain hotel free breakfast items. Only open for a limited time in the morning.

3.5 stars. Stayed here for a long Thanksgiving holiday weekend while visiting my sis in Cali. It is located in a great location close to the oceanside pier and harbor, as well as Camp pendleton. The staff are friendly. Parking is free and they have hot tea and coffee service as well as fruit infused water. There is a small restaurant and bar on the ground lobby floor. A small gym is open 24/7 and they have a heated outdoor pool and hot tub, which closes at 10 PM. It was rainy so we didn't get to use them. It is an older building and definitely needs a remodel. We were in a room with 2 queen beds. The room was pretty spacious, we didn't have a view it was just of the RV park located adjacent to the hotel. It was clean and the bed was comfy. I would have liked a thicker or more puffy blanket/comforter though.

Came down to Oceanside for an end of Thanksgiving school vacation getaway for us and the kids at this Holiday Inn . Had planned to walk down to the harbor for dinner, but it was raining and freezing (for us Californians) and everyone was settled in and relaxing in the room, so we decided just to go to the restaurant in the hotel, and hopefully hit the harbor restaurants the next night. Very pleasantly surprised! I had fish and chips, and my wife had chicken wings and sliders. Sat in the restaurant area, and were waited on by the bartender Alex G., who was attentive and very pleasant. Five stars because for a small hotel restaurant it was excellent, and far exceeded our expectations! Clearly the staff take pride in their work, and the food they put out. As a final note, we must have liked it as I had to enter the businesses information , as it did not come up when I searched in Yelp.

Nice hotel, but hated the straight shower curtain rod! Did not care for the restaurant for breakfast in the lobby. Great restaurants within walking distance. The unlighted dirt path is a bit intimidating at night.

This is a great hotel but what makes it so amazing is the staff. Noah and Andy at breakfast were amazing. Alex and Andy at dinner time were rocking it too. Jeff, Breanna, Brittany and Mike provided outstanding customer service at the front desk! Can't wait to be back there this weekend! Thanks guys for an amazing vacation see you soon!

A fabulous surprise! Affordable, family friendly, clean, close to the beach and Legoland! The desk staff was great - calling us when our room was ready - we had drove in from out of state much earlier than expected. Our room had a small fridge and microwave. Laundry facilities were inexpensive. The cleaning staff was friendly and exceptional. With 4 kids we were a hot mess! The on-site restaurant was amazing. The hotel will offer vouchers with some of their packages for adults and kids eat free when dining with adults. The lovely waitress was great and accommodating to our kids picky eating habits. The food was good! First time we have ever chosen to eat at a hotel for the majority of our stay. The only downside is this hotel was the low water pressure and old sofa bed. But otherwise this place is major bang for your buck!

Recently we stayed at the Holiday Inn Oceanside. The hotel is located near Camp Pendleton and offers comfortable and inviting accommodations with easy access to the ocean as well as numerous restaurants, shops, and tourist activities in the Oceanside area. We had a very busy day that was punctuated by a very early drive over to San Diego from Arizona, a business meeting, and then a fairly fast turn-around to attend Preview Night at San Diego Comic-Con. Our check in was very prompt and efficient and the friendly staff went over the dining options and other amenities of the hotel which included a pool, spa, Fitness Center, Business Center, and many other features. Our room was very clean and inviting and offered a safe and plenty of storage space. This was ideal as we kept adding to our haul each day and it was nice to be able to store our bags and not have them in the way when we returned or in the way of the very efficient cleaning staff. The Television offered a good mix of stations and the Wi-Fi was effective for our needs. Since we were in town doing various media stories and Comic-Con coverage, we would leave early in the morning to get into town and catch the Trolley to the Convention Center. As such; we were not able to take advantage of the breakfast options offered by the hotel. They did offer coffee in the room and lobby and this was a great thing to have on the way out the door. The hotel also had a shop which allowed us to pick up some snacks for the road. With our days and evening hours filled with panels and meetings, we often did not get back until around later in the evening. While we dined in San Diego post show on certain nights, other nights had us taking advantage of some of the locale offerings and there were a few fast food and dining options located near the hotel including one less than a block away. The bed was very comfy and ideal after a long day of work. The staff also was very friendly as my wife realized after we checked out that she had left her jacket and a shirt in the closet. They had a key waiting for me when we arrived after turning around and we were on our way again without missing a beat. While we wished we had more time to experience the dining option of the hotel as it would have been great to have that as an option when we returned later in the evening. Aside from that; the clean room, friendly staff, and great location made this a locale we would love to visit again.
