Great place with an awesome concept! Being able to pick your beverage and try by ounce was a fun experience. Boyfriend wished they had more stouts and porters with a higher ABV as he finds the flavor is better. The one he was eyeing online the tap number was dark. :( The food though was the star! Very good and unexpected for the place. Everything we tried was great and we would go back for the food for sure. The items were unique and not things you see everywhere!

Fabulous $7 burger and fries special ... available on Monday only (they open at 4). It's the same burger that is on their menu for $16. It was beautiful, big and very tasty too. This place has an interesting set up for their beer and wine selections. You pour your own from taps located on walls around three areas of the room. You provide a cc when you arrived and you are given a wrist band which opens the tap and measures the amount of what you poured. You can get partial or full glasses of a variety of the beers or wines available. I believe, upon check out that you are charged by the ounce. My husband nor I ordered anything to drink but others around us were having a great time exploring all the beer and wine options. Everyone was enjoying an evening out.

Came here and did not know how it works. Loved the concept and the food. Had a delicious burger, spicy cauliflower, delicious crunchy salty fries and great wings. So much fun walking around and trying different beers and kombucha. So many to choose from we will have to come back. Get on Beyoncé and a great mix of clientele. Helpful staff although you help yourself to the drinks. Love being able to get up and get a drink whenever I feel like it and try another one and another one and another one

I was a little skeptical at first about pouring my own beer but found i was very conservative. They have a nice selection of beer and wine. I could taste a variety of the selections and not go overboard.The staff was outstanding and very patient in answering my questions which I had a lot of since this was a new concept to me.Food was okay. We had the Mac and cheese which was a little flat even with jalapeños. They have other items like burgers and Flatbread pizzas so we may have just chosen poorly.Since I am a visitor, I found the experience great and would recommend stopping but if I were a local, I would be interested in how offen you rotate your taps with new beers so you stay a fresh place to visit.

Such a fun experience. Definitely worth trying especially if you're not certain what you would like to drink. The smoke salmon flatbread is delicious!

This place has gone downhill. Many taps were broken or empty. The ones that worked filled our glasses mostly with foam meaning they are not storing their kegs at the right temperatures. The food was very bland. We went through five salt packets on the spicy mac n' cheese (which also was not spicy at all). We could smell weed coming from the back (keg?) room.

Had a wonderful experience here last night. We were looking for a place to get a beer and a burger, that was also dog friendly. We walked by a couple of other places at first and before deciding to go to Barrel Republic. Upon walking in you're greeted by the host and given bracelets, a lowdown of how things work and open a tab. Thankfully they have non-alcoholic options as well since I'm 8 months pregnant (kombucha, craft soda, iced tea and cold brew). Since we went on a Tuesday they also had trivia going, which was fun. Sadly we were too late to join, but I'm confident we would've kicked butt. My husband sampled a number of the beers, and we split an order of wings and a burger. Everything we had was yummy and the service and ambiance of the place was great. We'll definitely stop by again the next time we're in Oceanside.

Got to say one of the coolest places I've been in a while had a awesome dinner right next-door at Jalisco Cantina and then came right over to barrel republic to finish off our night service was awesome I don't know who's running these two places but bravo what a big turn around

The beer was good and it's a cool concept, but the food was horrible! We ordered wings, potato barrels, and pretzels with cheese dip. Seriously all little to no flavor. I wish we could've gotten a refund because it wasn't cheap. I'd go there to drink again though.
