How this place has such a good review is beyond me. They have a bunch of people working there that have no clue about the menu, and the bartender does not even know how to make a margarita. It's such a cute place, but if you are coming here for anything other than tequila shots, you will be disappointed. Service stunk, food was the most bland Americanized wanna-be Mexican food, and it's FREEZING in there bc they have every window open and fans on blast. Oh and their chips are stale. Bye.

Walked by this place on the way to another location. It is pretty classy set up and because I cannot do a straight shot I inquired as to other mixed shots, however based upon the liquor is available our option ended up being a lemon drop. It was the 1st time that he had made it and he was very accommodating very friendly and would definitely go back based on the accommodation and friendliness of the request. Great customer service skills. They were doing specials for DIA DE los muertos however we just wanted to start off with a shot and be on our way. It appears to have a relaxing atmosphere would definitely be back if we had more time in the area.

I am so sad that Jalisco was not what it once was. Last time I was in was Jan/Feb of 2020. The food menu was better and it's a crime that the tamale bites were removed from the menu completely. I dreamt about these things... they were spectacular. Everything we got was just spicy. Beans, chicken tacos, drinks. I love spice but there was very little flavor behind the spice. Also would not consider very kid friendly-- not a big deal, more of a warning. Just overall really sad and disappointed to return to a spot we once LOVED to be let down.

I'm not sure what all you have to do to quality ingredients to make them so flavorless, but they managed here. Super fresh ingredients, food all made from scratch -- but was so bland. Part of the problem was prep, the shrimps and chicken were essentially boiled so leaked watery spice flavor. I think the flavor just soaked right off. This meat was BEGGING to be grilled but instead it was lifeless, flavorless, boiled lumps of wet meat.

Best margaritas in Oceanside! Food is amazing, lots of gluten free options.

Jalisco never disappoints. Every morsel of food is delicious (get the spicy shrimp guacamole). The service is outstanding and the tequila selection is divine.

Beautiful cantina right in the heart of Downtown O'side. Delicious menu items and a good selection of drinks. The service was a little slow but luckily we were not in a rush.

I went there recently and had the Swordfish tacos. Best tacos I've ever eaten in my entire life. I'm 64, so that's saying something.

The drinks not so good, food is good. Was much better before the pandemic.

Incredible food. The service staff was a tiny bit forgetful and we waited a long time for the initial chips and salsa but they were so apologetic and friendly. The portions are right sized and the fish tacos were amazing (grilled Mahi). They also had live music playing that really set the mood. Great value for the prices, fresh and flavorful food, friendly staff.

This was our first time here and will not be our last. The craft margaritas are delicious. The food was amazing. Cheers to the staff for great service, Oscar for the outstanding drinks, and the chef for his quality artisan Mexican food. Look forward to our next visit.

Such a great ambiance and wonderful friendly service. The food is fantastic! We will be back anytime we are in the area. Open garage door style dining with lots of air flow. Chips, salsa and guacamole are set before you buy the friendly GM Christian, He really makes the experience even better, making you feel like you are in his home. He said yes to anything we needed or asked for. Love this place!!!!

In the short time I've resided in SoCal, I've had some difficulty finding tasty, high-quality Mexican food. That is, until I tried this place. The atmosphere in the restaurant is so nice and the decor is lovely. On top of this, the service is amazing. Both times I've been, the service was wonderful and very welcoming. Their chips and salsa and guac are delicious. I love their salsa verde, it's definitely my favorite of the two salsas. Their guac looks and tastes fresh and has the perfect amount of salt. I also love their red salsa, but I wish it were a bit spicier. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos (battered) and they were amazing. The fish wasn't fishy and tasted fresh and delicious. They also didn't give me small pieces of fish and skimp out, which I appreciate. I love that they put some cheese, shredded lettuce, and pico de gallo on the side, too, because if all of it had gone on the tacos, it would've been difficult and overwhelming to eat. The aioli is delicious and the tacos were amazing, I'll definitely be back to try them again! On top of this, their churros were the perfect way to end the meal! I wish they'd been a bit less crunchy, but regardless, they were still absolutely delicious. My family tried the birria tacos and the vegan burrito and LOVED it! On top of this, their pozole is incredible. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend this place!

Popped into this place randomly! Love the environment! Server who helped us was very nice and very attentive. Made us feel really welcomed! Was just wanting to place an order to go but had no idea what to try since I never been here before. He suggested their white pazole! I'm so glad he did! It was delicious!! Not to spicy but just enough kick. The pork pieces were gone through very well. I was happy I didn't come across any super fatty pieces. I will be back for the Pazole alone!! They don't have a children's menu. I asked if they were able to throw together a bean and cheese burrito for my daughter and they gladly did! She loved it! I got the mahi mahi tacos for my husband! He really enjoyed them. He didn't care too much for the aioli but to be fair he's not much of a Mayo kind of guy at all! I though the aioli was perfect and brought it all together! My only suggestion for this dish would be to serve it with shredded slaw/cabbage instead of shredded lettuce. While we waited for our to go order, I decided to get a top shelf margarita. It was the Cadillac. That was very very good! I do wish it was a little bit bigger for the price though. I will be back to try their margaritas again and some other items from their menu! Oh....the guacamole and the chips and salsa are also very good!

I had the barbacoa tacos and the cucumber margarita with the buzz ball. Both were excellent.
