Not what I was expecting. Mediocre food. Service was great.. she was nice enough to put a couple tables together to fit my family inside. The restaurant itself looked like a haunted house though.

Steaks looked like a steak you would buy from a supermarket precooked. Definitely was expecting something much better. Their half chicken had far too much butter, that's literally all i tasted. Service was great, the server was super friendly and the food arrived in a timely manner. The restaurant itself was super small. Not fancy at all.

Yikes.. always wanted to try this place and finally got around to it. Went for brunch on a Sunday just after 11:00. Restaurant was about 20%. Service was fine, pleasant, but kinda slow. The food and drinks were pretty bad. Watered down, unoriginal cocktails served in jars. The omelet on a croissant was just that. An omelet on a croissant... Eggs, made with bacon on a dry croissant. Absolutely no flavor. The eggs Benedict were pretty plain and didn't get finished. All in all, $55 for something you could have gotten at Denny's for half the price.

I rarely write reviews. I only write them when the experience is exceptionally great or exceptionally terrible. In this case, it was the latter. We should have turned around when there seemed to be confusion on whether thhey would seat us for brunch/lunch... it appeared they were closing down. I asked them if we should leave (we had a reservation)and they said no. I will say they tried... but the basic food I ordered (wings) were grossly over cooked, the fires I got anppeared to be freezer burned before thawing, and drinks were watered down. They ran out of coke... so husband just got water. It seems this place is struggling. I would give them another chance as it seems like it was/could be an awesome place. Maybe they were having a really bad day.

The food is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD! The taste and texture of everything was fabulous (I’m kinda picky). The service and presentation was amazing.Even the building was awesome! I loved the ambience of this Victorian House built in 1888. It was vibrant and cool.

The location of whatever has occupied the old home where now Le Citron stands has played host to a depth of significance in me stretching across multiple seasons and decades.Which is why it is a consistent anchor along my many recent visits to southern California. The offerings of cafe, cuisine, and passing connection have and yet do provide a quite worth while interaction with any adventure out this way - especially when writing. The yellow of the building is iconic and a good, reliable welcome to patrons of all walks of wife … I do hope strongly that it stays forever a yellow building and may the opportunity of it’s offer for refuge and sanctity be never forsaken… for I so love this place.

First time dinning here. The food was delicious and service was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Oceanside.

Le Citron is a cozy restaurant located in Oceanside, CA. The building appears to be an old house that was turned into a restaurant, lending to its quaint atmosphere.Food: The food was tasty. I ordered a breakfast plate with two poached eggs, seasoned potatoes, bacon, and sausage. I finished everything but the potatoes, as they were a bit bland. I also ordered a decaf coffee but was not impressed with the flavor, and it wasn’t warm enough. I didn’t receive a teaspoon with it, so I used my knife to stir the sugar and half and half.Service: The service was good. The waitresses were friendly and attentive and seemed genuinely happy to help.Atmosphere: The atmosphere was quaint but on the verge of feeling tight. Overall, there aren’t many tables, and the tables are small. I was in a party of five, and we were barely able to squeeze in.Price: I found the menu prices to be expensive. For my order listed above, I paid about $36 with tax and tip. That’s a lot for two eggs, potatoes, sauce, bacon, and coffee.Overall: While the restaurant is cozy and the food tasty, I don’t think this restaurant offers a good value and would not return.

PHENOMENAL FOOD! Great service. Elegant ambiance @ a Victorian House built in 1888 (just after CA statehood). ??Drinks

So great!! Went there for brunch with the hubby and everything was amazing. We sat on the front patio with a cool breeze outside of the historic house. The drinks were beautifully and the food was DELICIOUS! Great service and attentive staff. Highly recommend!!

Tasty! I had the chicken with mushroom sauce which was tender with well seasoned mushroom and tarragon sauce. My husband had the fish sandwich which has a homemade cole slaw. Fries were crispy yummynessETA the service was engaging and attentive

Great service and atmosphere; food was given the benefit of the doubt, as a steak ordered medium rare is NOT supposed to be medium well on the plate. Oh, the sangria is excellent! I will give another shot, anyone can have an off day!

The staff was professional and very cordial. The fish sandwich was good, but the coleslaw was a little too sweet. The pancakes could use more flavor, and they were dense. Now I say this because every restaurant has areas of improvement. Overall, we enjoyed the restaurant and staff, just some adjustments on the pancakes and sandwiches are needed in my opinion.
