“We discovered this place bc we're new to North County and my daughter wanted spaghetti for lunch. Saw good reviews, so chose here. So glad we found this place! It seems like a lot of people come in here for slices (which is always a great option); we chose to dine-in. There were 5 (maybe 4?) booths. As soon as we walked in I noticed the place was very clean (bathroom was very clean as well!). Had a good selection of food (some pep/cheese slices, garlic bread, gnocchi, spaghetti, wings) - all were delicious! Thin crust, very generous with cheese and toppings on the pizza. (East coast/New York style according to some other reviews).The biggest draw though was the owner. He was the one cooking the pies and running the register. He was so helpful and seemed to genuinely care that we had a great experience. Specifically, when the pies meant for slices were ready, he made sure to ask if we were ok "as is" or wanted any specifics (i.e. extra crispy) (so glad we said "as is" bc it was great!); also, my daughter is a "sauce fiend", so I asked for a little side of extra spaghetti sauce (the amount served w/ the spaghetti was perfect for a normal person!) and he suggested he warm it up first and got to it right away. Secondly, and more importantly, I overheard him thanking his employees for getting through the lunch rush! That was so cool to overhear. “My boyfriend is obsessed with this place so I had the chance to give it a try for dinner. Corner Pizza is located at a cute corner of South O'side with lots of street parking nearby, and it's always busy. All in all the pizza is very tasty and very fresh, but also very pricey. I ordered the mushroom queen with no modifications and my boyfriend got the pepperoni with everything bagel crust. The pepperoni is a classic, very good, high quality pepperoni, no complaints. The mushroom queen is also good but I feel as if it wasn't quite what I was expecting. For a pizza called the mushroom queen that has "seasonal mushrooms" I was expecting lots of mushrooms with more variety, but it's more like two types of mushrooms sprinkled on. I was hoping for maybe some oyster mushrooms, a bit of shiitake, king trumpet, etc., for the high price point. I was also disappointed that there was no sauce on this pizza, which made the flavor a bit lackluster. I didn't know that the only pizzas with sauces seem to be the ones that specifically list a sauce. The lemon marinated arugula on top was fantastic though, coming from someone who hates arugula. Whole pizzas are around the mid-$20 range, and if you add additional toppings it'll easily go to $30. So it's a fair price to share with friends, but if you have a large appetite like me then it's a bit high :') I think Corner Pizza is pretty solid, but I'll be coming back for the lunch slice specials from now on rather than whole pizzas.“

“It was Market night, but we didn't want to fight the crowds or the prices on the streets. My parents, my wife, and I surfed the net for pizza near our resort. Found Pier Pizza within walking distance and it had great reviews (4.9). Wow, were we glad we went! Ordered a half Hawaiian and half Dirty Bird. My dad and I wanted to try something different. The DB was AMAZING! Who would think of honey drizzled, or ricotta cheese "plopped" on pizza?! It WORKS! We walked out with no leftovers. My Buenavesa beer was great with it, too! Keep doing what you're doing - it's very good! Wish we had found it last week as we fly back to Illinois in a couple days. I'll be trying this combination at home!“
