We were in the area and had lunch here for the first time. It is next to a hotel and small. It has outdoor seating and a well-stocked bar. The menu is limited. I ordered the dish with Kahlua pork but they didn’t have it. The food was good. Our server was friendly and attentive.

Be aware new owner, new chef, food is not the same quality anymore!! We felt it was a joke when salmon poke came out with plain lettuce and couple tomatoes. And they charge $25 for that?!Food is nothing look like the previous photos.

Each time I visit, my experience is distinctive. I enjoy sampling the diverse dishes meticulously prepared by Chef Jesse. His innovative talent is truly remarkable. We are witnessing the genesis of his exceptional culinary journey. The latest creation, "The Switchboard Banana Split," is a delightful and whimsical culinary experience. With the unwavering backing of the proprietor, this establishment is poised to become a pivotal destination in the near future.I would also like to acknowledge Hailey, the bar manager. She consistently demonstrates her expertise in recommending appropriate beverages while fostering a lively and enjoyable ambiance. Please consider this establishment; I assure you that you will not be disappointed.

The food was ok. They have small portions for a high price. The menu is minimal, and they ran out of several things.

I’ve been here probably three times since moving to Oceanside, I even like the coffee roaster they opened adjacent. Food and drinks here have always been good. Service is fine albeit slow sometimes and this place is tiny so there usually was a wait of some sort. But my biggest gripe is they are now only a brunch/breakfast place. They were such a cool spot for diners and the occasional cocktail. If they ever go back to night hours I’ll probably come back but beyond that I’ll miss you switch board.

Went for dinner and drinks, ended up just getting drinks and sad that we did. Service was super, super slow and poor (but it was just one person handling it all by themselves). Drinks were pretty poor. I had the ‘What Happened’ cocktail (basically a spicy margarita) and it was a syrup-y mess. My friend had a different drink and didn’t enjoy it. The drink menu isn’t great and the reviews of the food were so poor since ownership changed that we left for LTH (Local Tap House) that’s one block away with amazing food and drinks. I’m sure Switchboard was amazing a year ago from the reviews, but the most recent ones really are accurate about the place. This review needs to be focused on the owners, hopefully they get the wake up call.

Menu now substantially reduced. Food not like before. Went every week or 10 days may not go again. Took 3 tries for wine, food was very salty, fav items now off the menu. They had a real gem but since sold to hotel they've lost their edge. Haley the server as awesome as ever. Can't post about items that no longer exist.

I had some time between checking out of my hotel down the street and heading to the airport, so I came to The Switchboard for a working lunch one afternoon. It's smaller than I expected and connected to a coffee shop and hotel lobby, but I was able to grab a table and get settled in for a bit. It seemed there was one server manning the joint and although busy, he was good about checking in with me and getting my orders in. I started with a drink and after some consultation, decided on the burger with fries. This may be my fault for not asking questions but the burger was just a regular burger - no Hawaiian flair, which I was expecting so that was a bit of a let down. The burger was fine, the fries were top 10 I've ever had, and the drink was delicious. I'd certainly return and try some other items from their menu.

Everything was pretty bland or overcooked. Chicken sandwich was dry and almost no sauce. Only thing that was good were the fries. Hawaiian plate was also bland and didn’t have any Hawaiian flavors, rice was mushy as well.

A review from 5 days ago saved us. We heard the same story. There were too many things from the menu unavailable. New ownership was to blame for it. Behind the bar looked too dirty for our comfort. Took Scott’s recomendación and headed over to LTH

We ordered the; Edamame Salmon tartar Chicken katsu sandwich And Hawaiian plate w pork. The edamame was terrible and mushy. No flavor, had to ask for some salt just to get it down and still ended up just not eating them. The salmon tartar was alright, very citrusy and the bread cut in half was greasy and bland. The chicken katsu was dry, in between two flimsy pieces of bread. The only saving grace for this dish was the fries. The Hawaiian plate had absolutely nothing Hawaiian about it. It was basically just pork, bland rice balls and some crappy macaroni salad. No flavor, bland, over priced.

First off , service was super slow. Second, I ordered the Hawaiian plate and the rice was undercooked the chicken teriyaki wasn't that good as well and the Mac salad was dry. This place should be avoided at all costs... spend your money elsewhere. I am never coming back to this place.
