I had to see what the rave was all about. This was my first time so I really didn't know what to expect. We arrived when it opened because I heard that space was limited. It was. Maybe 15 seats. Very small eating area. I really don't think it's meant to dine in. It's definitely not wheelchair or ADA compliant. The service was good, man was very friendly. I was a little surprised at the limited soul food side options. No yams on the menu, but you make them for catering ?. Since they are known for chicken & waffles, that's what I ordered. I was a little disappointed that the chicken was tender strips instead of wings, but I wasn't too surprised. Price point was moderate. The waffle was a nice size, but mine was overcooked. ? When I went to cut it, it cracked in half ?. The tenders weren't seasoned, but they were juicy. ?? The kool-aid option was pretty nostalgic ?. Others in my party ordered the ox tails, fried fish, and party wings. With all that fried food, I'm trying to figure out why we couldn't smell anything??? IDK, maybe the ventilation sustem is just that good. ??♀️ Overall, I support black owned businesses; and the fact it's D9 is a bonus, I know that they'll be successful, but I can't think of a reason why I would go back. #oneanddone

Definitely would not recommend the customer service was amazing, but unfortunately I can’t say the same thing for the food everything was so bland and for $27 I only got 1 piece of fish and it came with one side and I brought the additional side, wish them the best in the future I will not be a returning customer.

Try everything!!!! The chicken and waffles are so good. Don't skip the sides mac and cheese The red beans and rice. Everything was delicious.
Compared to Georgia's in Eastvale this place is FIRE????? 10 out

Took my daughter out for lunch spent $72. Red snapper, smothered pork chops greens red beans and Mac n cheese. I'm all about seasoning, but the salt was extreme! I could see the seasoning salt just piled on the onions onto the pork chops. Greens very salty. Red beans and rice not to my liking but the husband enjoyed. My daughter and I were like it's ok but not for the price. Then we got to the banana pudding. The pudding was chunky and sour. ? we really had high hopes unfortunately we won't be back.

I love soul food, place is clean, the young man behind the counter was sharp and helpful. The food was so delicious, I ordered the Chicken and Waffle + a Peach Cobbler, took a nap and wrote this review :)Parking: Plenty of parking for large or small vehicles
I brought my mother here for some fried chicken and oxtail. We also had cornbread, mac and cheese, butter beans and rice and sweet tea. It was very delicious. I can't wait to come back and try the pork chops. I have already tasted the catfish and that was also very good.
Best chicken & waffles I've had. The chicken was juicy and crispy, the waffle was fluffy yet crunchy and the Mac and cheese was delicious.

I have been here multiple times this is about the best restaurant I have been to very good food I recommend Mac and cheese with chicken and waffles very good today I had to catfish and waffle side it was delicious I very much
It was further away than I expected. A little pricey. Wanted to try more than I did. But could not afford to. Chicken was good. Red beans and rice was very good. Guy behind the counter was very friendly.Parking: Located in strip mall.

Visited this place, and have to say was not disappointed, service was excellent, food was excellent and will return. Chicken and Waffles are awesome, meat is juicy and well seasoned, waffle was differently not original flavor, homemade ingredients for sure. Highly recommend this place for sure.Parking: Lots of room
