Not what I was expecting. If you like poke get there early, there's many varieties. Meat was like chared carne and chared chicken. The macaroni salad was pasta and mayo only. I recommend Waikiki Grill in Orange or

Amazing Hawaiian food! I always go here for their poke. They have the good Hawaiian poke flavors. They run out fast so make sure you get there before the evening. Nice and friendly staff as well! My go to!

My favorite place for authentic Hawaiian food! Try their poke bowl and you won't regret! It's a big portion and price is reasonable.

I heard about this place from some friends of mine who came here to eat. I'm hesitant about eating Hawaiian food because not a lot of people know how to make it even though they own a Hawaiian food restaurant. So I checked it out. I ordered the beef ribs, and it came with Mac salad (no potatoes) and 1 scoop rice and small spinach salad. The beef ribs came out huge but not a lot of meat on them, however very flavorful. My wife ordered the poke and you could tell that it was fresh, it was very good. They had a few different types. She had ordered the Calhi poke . A lot of times, it depends on who is cooking. We totally enjoyed it, the day we went, so do you wanna check out a Hawaiian food place?Try this place out,it may surprise you.

On the off chance that they might be open until 7pm, I'll try to catch this little slice of heaven when I get off of work. I am a sucker for beef ribs so I try to order a beef rib plate when I have a chance. The salad that comes with the plate is okay but would be better with steamed rice. The mac salad is different for me. It just tastes like mayo and macaroni but without the cheese. Also, there is nothing else in the mac salad. No carrots, celery, bell peppers or anything in it. Spam musubis are okay. Teriyaki chicken is good. Service is nice. The people there are pleasant. Cooking wait times are on the average side. We have mainly ordered to go so I have never interacted with the staff that much. Even if you eat there, usually your order gets called and you grab it then sit down an eat. It's more of a self serve spot. The place is a hole in the wall diner feel. A few table and chairs and condiments on the table. Nothing fancy. Kinda like you average diner type spot.

Absolutely love this gem. Used to come to the location in Cerritos/Artesia and now they have one right next to my work in Orange!Super fresh fish, great customer service, and easy to order! Food also comes out relatively quick, and I really think you can't go wrong with what you order here. The only downside would be the store's limited hours of operation, but this is authentic poke/hawaiian food and absolutely wonderful so it's worth the wait!

No longer my favorite local Hawaiian joint. RIP.I ordered the Pipi and the Ka Moa plates and they came out completely terrible. My Pipi plate was filled with burnt kalbi ribs filled with thick yellow fat all over. There were hardly any pieces with any meat. The beef ribs were COMPLETELY burnt and two of the bones literally went into trash because there was NO meat.Ka Moa plate had the katsu which tasted like it was fried twice filled with fatty cartilage filled chicken breast. The Chicken teriyaki was burnt all over. Not sure what is going on here, but management needs to step up or this place is next in line to shut down from losing customers.

Food is really good here. Got the kalbi plate and the chicken katsu plate. They both were very good. The kailbi marinade was less sweet than most other places, and was a little more salty, but it was really good. The food is priced fairly for the amount of food you get. Food didn't take too long to come out. There are a few tables inside and one outside.

This place is amazing. It will take a bit of time during peak hours as they grill each order as they receive it.There is only 1 outside table for 5 people and narrow seating inside. We always get our food to go.Amazing plate specials. Hawaiian Sun drinks are $2.25 each. Breakfast plates lean a bit oily. One time the Portuguese sausage burnt through the styrofoam. Highly recommend the Momona plate, which is generous and always delicious.

Solid spot for Hawaiian food as well as poke. The worker I got to interact with was cheerful and willing to offer samples of their poke which I appreciated. There was a good amount of poke selection and to be able to try them helped make my decision. You get a good portion amount and it was fresh! I also got the Momona with garlic rice upgrade. This plate was meaty! Very meaty. I would probably of liked a side of vegetables or something to cut everything, but if all you want is protein Hawaiian style, you can't go wrong with this plate.Super stoked finding this place! Would highly recommend.

I wish this place was opened when I was going into the office! I had to go into the office nearby and decided to stop by here. A classic Hawaiian spot and a hidden little gem! Their prices may seem a bit high but their portions make up for it! Poke is fresh! The only down side is only being able to select two toppings for it. But you can choose two different poke style for your plate! That helped me pick my options. Also got the Momona plate and this was no joke! Meat was super flavorful. The meat fell off the bone. The portion is massive that can easily be shared between two (if you do, order extra rice and macaroni salad). if not, this can easily be 2-3 meals! The macaroni salad is a must! Definitely getting an extra order of that next time. It can take some time to make so if you're on a time crunch, call your order in!

Store is a quick service style restaurant, but try to order ahead as it takes a minute for your food - everything is made fresh. Food wise, we had the Pipi, Aina, and the spam and egg musubi. Beef rib was really good. Musubi, I think the spam could have been fried a bit longer. Portion wise is just right, but wish there was more.

Was lookin for some good Hawaiian food and I definitely want to come back! The smells outside of here should reel you in alone! I usually like to get teriyaki chicken but I wanted to try the katsu so this was a perfect choice. Mac salad was different but in a good way! I loved the flavor of the katsu and teriyaki chicken. I wish there was cabbage underneath like some places but overall very delicious Service was great too, cashier was very friendly! There are signs asking for patience and food being made fresh! Well let me tell you the food is worth the wait!

Honestly, it's hard for poke places to still surprise me because I've tried spots with a new protein and spots with toppings like hot Cheetos dust. And then while training in the OC area, 808 came across my radar and I was so disappointed that it was as far away from me as it is. Strictly speaking and regarding poke, 808 was great. I think it was their confidence in one main protein alone and testing the different sauce mixtures combining sweet, spicy, citrusy, and secret elements that made me so curious for more. I chose cucumber and seaweed salad as my two toppings. As for protein, I chose a sweet and spicy ahi tuna with onions along with an ahi tuna mixed with soy and crabmeat. I get it sounds like a double up on practically everything but it was a pretty damn good poke bowl. For a lady who loves salmon, I did not mind that salmon was nowhere in sight. The service was also great! One of the workers let me sample different flavored ahi tuna and allowed me to switch one of them last minute. The rice was warm and the poke was flavorful and cooling. It was filling! A bit on the pricier edge but the ahi tuna was high quality. I would absolutely go again and keep wishing a chain pops up in the LA county sometime.
