I've been going to Felix's for over 35 years now since I moved to Southern California. It's been one of my favorites since the first time I went. I always get one of the Cuban dishes that come with black beans and rice along with your choice of dessert, which is always pastel de tres leches for us. The mojo de ajo sauce for the rice and beans is one of my favorite things on the planet, so be sure to ask for extra. The soup, which changes daily, is also always good and homemade.For lunch, you can't go wrong with a Cuban sandwich or pan lechon.Portions are large, and most people take some home. It's a great place, as long as you're not a vegetarian.

Everything is delicious. Food from Filet Mingnon Medallions to a plate of Black Beans and Rice. There is something for everyone.I suggest starting with an appetizer of Mozzarella Provincial and a Materva or an Espresso to drink. Followed by one of there home made soups. On Fridays they serve the best Fish soup you could have.For the main course have your way with the menu. Our favorites are the Chicken Empajador, the Medallions of Filet Mingnon and the Beans and Rice with a side of the Creamed Spinach. You will be greeted with a plate of bread and butter when you choose a seat inside or out. If you have room the Chocolate Cake or Flan are certain to fill you up. Love this place for its food, prices, casual atmosphere and the very pleasant staff.

Great food and great staff. That atmosphere is great and it's located in the historic circle of Orange. Great place to have a bite to eat and then do a little shopping or just walk the area and imagine what life was like during a more simpler time.Vegetarian options: Black bean soup is fantastic or frittata omelette is one of my faves. It's a creamy spinach omelette served with Spanish rice and plantains. Great Cuban food, and the best kept secret for a weekend breakfast at the Orange Circle. Go ahead, wait an hour for the filling station, or sit down quickly at Felix and get a killer breakfast for a reasonable price. Lunch and dinner menus are also spectacular! LOVE this place! Not to mention it has been at the circle for around a million years. If you like Cuban food, this is a destination restaurant.

I ordered the grilled chicken which was delicious but rice and beans were not. They didn't have the avocado salad and no Yucca only fried. Service was good but the place is run down. I drove 40 minutes and went by the reviews. Very disappointing and will not return.

Felix Continental Cafe is a very long standing Cuban restaurant located at the Orange Plaza Square traffic circle at the intersection of Chapman Ave and Glassell Street. The parking tends to get difficult here so I recommend parking at the Old Towne West Parking structure which is a 5 minute walk and is free. I used to love coming here when I was in college as the food was amazing. This time the food was good but not amazing. We started with the Calamaritos Fritos Gran Via (Calamari) and the calamari pieces were thick and cooked correctly but the flavor was just ok. As a main I had the Caribbean Delight which was good but not excellent as I was hoping. My daughter tried the Chicken Cordon Blue which she thought was excellent but it is quite a bit different than normal Cordon Blue so be prepared. Service was excellent, quick, and friendly. The plates come with a good amount of food for very reasonable prices.

One of my favorite places to eat. Huge dinner comes with dessert(it's all good). My favorite dish is chicken Supreme. Bread is warm and wonderful. Ask for the house dressing on your salad. They have their own wine which is wonderful. It's smack dab in the middle of the circle. Grab a window seat or outside table and people
