My wife and I got a pulled pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich with onion rings. We split the sandwiches and shared half of each. They're very good. Both of them were delicious! We liked the onion rings as well!

Their BBQ, onion rings, as well as All their food is Delicious but you have to try their taco special on Saturdays. Brisket or Pulled Pork (or one of each) with a side of their corn. You definitely won't be disappointed!!

Nice hidden BBQ gem in OC. Was presently surprised by this spot. Found it on Google maps when searching for a place toneat with kids and freinds on a Saturday. I saw that had Beef Dino ribs, I was sold. Gave it a try, have to say, it was super good. Great bark, good flavor, nice light smoke, fall of the bone tender meat. It was really good. O would say it's on par with Moe's in Lincoln heights and heritage in San Juan capistrano. Thier beef Dino ribs sell out, and I was happy this place had them still available, because they are as good. The price wasn't bad either. Think it was $35 for a rib. Also tried the pork ribs. Really good, great flavor, fall off the bine. Brisket was tender, and juicy. Mac n cheese, was amazing. Only grip, they didn't have any corn bread or bread options. Other than that, great meal, would definitely go again. I would recommend this place to anyone in OC looking for good Dino beef ribs.Parking: Lots of free parking

First time we have been here, WOW, bought the large Brisket plate, with Cole slaw and tator tots. Brisket was so tender and tasted so good. We bought their Onion Rings, they are very good. My wife bought the 2 taco special, one with brisket and one with rib meat. They were so good. We shared the two plates and it was so filling. Their cole slaw was also very good. We are looking forward to our next visit to try their pastrami sandwich.

Wow. Absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere, great service, and the BBQ.... Just 'WOW' for me. Had the brisket, the ribs, and creamed corn. Far exceeded my expectations and I would go so far as to say that this place is putting out better BBQ than the places you read all the hype about. The owner is clearly very dedicated, cares about his craft, and seems to ensure that everyone who walks through the door has a great experience. A++++! I can't wait to return to continue working my way through the menu!

Amazingly delicious BBQ, all the meats were super juicy, perfect sauces for each dish, and the best onion rings we have ever tasted! Not to mention the creamed corn was a surprise hit for us. Definitely headed back, and soon!

There's a new bbq king in OC and it's Hickory + Spice! Heritage BBQ has nothing on this place I hate to say.Hickory + Spice seems like it's run by a multi-time bbq champ so that might help account for it, but do not sleep on this gem. Brisket - 5/5 - better than many spots I've had in Austin. Pork ribs 5/5 - Amazing, best I've ever had. Smoked Turkey - 3.5/5 - Good especially for sandwiches, very juicy but nothing crazy flavor wise for me.Mac N Cheese - 3/5. It's alright...kind of runny and mild when I was hoping it'd be richer and creamier. Still good though.

Very good experience!!! You walk in and the menu is above the register. You order and pay first then grab a seat. We ordered the turkey sandwich, regular brisket platter with creamed corn and the side of onion rings. Everything we are was excellent!!! The turkey sandwich was a great mixture of southern and Thanksgiving. The regular brisket platter was three slices and one side, which was enough for lunch. The creamed corn had some heat and was tasty.... but those onion rings.... TO DIE FOR. Husband said, the best EVER.

ok this place was bombbbbb. i saw when they opened up and just didn't feel compelled to try it out until i saw someone else post a picture of the food. we got the large brisket plate with tots and creamed corn and an order of the onion rings. i thought the brisket was divine. it was lean but soft and full of flavor. the large portion was more than enough food for two grown ups and i took a box home. the corn was peppery and creamy and i could see why the cashier recommended it. the tots were crispy but they're the exact same flavor profile as the onion rings. they use "fairy dust" which is like a cajun salt + sugar. we loved the onion rings; the dust really worked with the breading and the texture of the onions. so the tots were a little overkill being the same flavor and my friend said he wished he had ordered them plain. i would say get one or the other but no real need for both. i'd be interested in trying the ranch beans next.staff was super nice. the cashier checked on us a few times and the chef? came out once too to ask how we liked the food. seating was plentiful and there is a small bar area in the back. the layout is a little strange on the left side of the restaurant, which i think is more for catering or big parties? there was two big tables there and some merchandise. their menu is limited but everything tasted good and i'm looking forward to trying other things!

Definitely the best BBQ place in socal. Brisket and beef ribs are ridiculous, ribs are completion worthy. And don't forget the onion rings and banana pudding!

For me Hickory and Spice is the gold standard to which I compare other BBQ venues.I order a pound of brisket because I can't get enough of it. It is juicy and savory, very tender and extremely flavorful! It's so good BBQ sauce is not required. In fact, Rick (the owner) prides himself in not requiring BBQ sauce on his meats. And I totally agree.During my last visit I was extremely fortunate that beef ribs were available. I had never had them before and when I have had beef ribs from other places, they have been dry and tough. I can't express enough how much these beef ribs blew my mind or should I say taste buds! They were so juicy, tender and flavorful! The beef brisket has always been my favorite, but the beef ribs are definitely my go-to if they are available. As for sides, they're all good. My favorites are the tater tots and Mac and cheese. I would also recommend the onion rings and beans.Rick, the owner works hard to make sure we get the best of his BBQ. Say hello to him if you can and let him know how much you love his BBQ.
