The food that we had tried is good but the service is terrible. Waitress working on 2/14 was terrible. The dining room wasn't even full and guests had no siver wear, plates, drinks. We waited almost an hour and a half and only half our order came. We had to ask for our soups, silverware, everything When we asked about where our food was at, she said we already got all our food. Do NOT go here on a date.

Ordered three items. Scallop rolls, lobster rolls, and the basic crunchy roll. It was a god change compared to always getting sake 2 me, or compared to orange roll (in Tustin)Anyway the lobster roll .... Eh 3/5 stars. This would be very comparable to the baked crawfish roll from sake 2 me. Except sake 2 me has it for much less, and bigger portion... so overall 3/5 stars. Nothing special. If you truly like this roll, go try the one at sake 2 me (called the bake crawfish). As for the scallop roll... 3/5 stars too. Why? Because sake 2 me has it better hahaha. Sorry, I'm comparing it to what I've been used to, and well ... sake 2 me (which isn't all that great overall) has better tasting sushi for a cheaper price. Anyway will I be back? Nah... because it's nothing omg. Granted, the food came out quick and it's tasty. But it's truly nothing special. Sorry folks! Time to continue searching for another sushi place! lol

I have ordered takeout twice from here and I have had very good experiences both times. Their customer service is great. Very friendly and efficient. Not a fancy place, just good food and good service.

Seems to have a small following of regulars that hang in there for slow service and average food. Very very very slow service. This place could be so successful but they are running it on a shoestring . Put some effort in and this place would be a huge success!! Fix the lights! Throw away the garbage on the floor! Tidy up the place it could be clutch!

I took my parents here this past Saturday night. The place is clean and the waitress on staff super sweet. She placed a small paper menu then a laminated menu on the tables for us. We proceeded to order from another paper menu. The food is good, I would come again for a quick bite but then we then asked for the check. This is where there is an issue. The prices are not as advertised! Not once were we told a roll advertised at $10.00 would actually be $12.95. No where on the 3 menus - were the prices either blacked out or the statement "prices subject to change without notice". We felt like victims as we had already eaten and were now stuck with a bill that we were not expecting. The waitress noticed us looking and then said that they had been increased, she looked sad that she had to say this, no fault of hers this is ownership and management's issue. Simple honesty is appreciated these days and I would go back if the prices were as advertised but the bait and switch is the deal breaker.
I will go a head and give 5 stars I was going to give it 3-4 stars because the menu price is now what they are charging. As you can see of my garlic albacore roll I was charged an extra dollar and for the calamari roll I was charged an extra almost 4 dollars then what was on the menu. She did let me know ahead of time that the menu price wasn't correct. I told her I needed to know what I was paying ahead of time. While at first she say it would only be about one dollar to 50. Cent different for the calamari roll it was way more expensive then she stated. Both rolls were very tasty and the calamari roll was my favorite. A bit spicy but the calamari was perfect. She also didn't charge for the gyoza so that was a plus. I would definitely come back, but just make sure before you order you know how much you are actually paying for the rolls

I've been coming here since I was a child and it truly has always been a welcoming place with phenomenal staff and even better food. It feels like coming home seeing smiling faces and having something special made for us to try at the bar. Plus they always have the good sports on so I'm never bored! Can't wait to go back soon because I'm already craving it again

I've had their food via takeout and also dine-in. Both experiences were fine. The service was great, but the food is just mediocre. There really isn't anything that stands out. Especially if you plan on dining in, it is just dark and grungy feeling. If this is your only option for sushi, I suggest take out. As for me, I don't plan on returning.

Came to this place because I've heard great reviews. I arrived put my name down, no acknowledgment from any worker what so ever. There are already a few people ahead of us waiting, we see open tables available for seating. About 30 mins pass by and the people before us start leaving after we haven't been helped/acknowledged... We finally get seated and the server comes back to tell us "SORRY, WE CAN'T SERVE YOU, WE ARE OUT OF RICE" like whattttt!?!? What sushi restaurant runs out of rice!? And if you see you're running low on rice and aren't going to be able to feed the people waiting... communicate and let us know! We wouldn't have been waiting there wasting my time! So unprofessional! I decided to come around the corner to Mika sushi and it was a much better choice. Friendly attentive staff at Mika Sushi.
