Drove to Genovese last night. It is closed due to Covid. No reopening listed but am hearing it is closed permanently. Do not know if that is accurate.

I don't know where they get 1947 other than the Genovese steak house restaurant Genovese open in the 80s it used to be called spicy Thai the building when their lease came up the owners of the land the Genovese's took over the house on top and made restaurant at Genovese say my mother was Marjorie we are the silent part of the family only because we weren't Italian course neither was any of Al's children they were both adopted but Albert had a real thing about that and you can't sue me for this Jill because every bit of it's true and I can prove every bit of it it's not meant to be insulting but get your story straight

First off I've never been a huge fan Of Italian food but after visiting this place the ambience the food The great customer service I will definitely becoming here more often. I had the chicken fettuccini and it was absolutely delicious. Also had the minestrone soup and had a few drinks at the bar. We were disappointed that they were out of cannoli So we did not get to try any dessert but this place was awesome and I can't wait to go back again

Even with CoVid-19 out there, these folks are making memories with great meals to-go! I had not been here he several years as I lived further South and Orange was a bit out of the way, but I've since moved back into Orange and WOW, am I glad I did!! Tonight we decided to do something different and thought we'd give them a shot since we do like to support the local businesses during this pandemic. We ordered Manicotti, Italian Sausage, and Garlic bread. Really great service during pick-up, EVERYTHING was perfect when we got it home. The taste?? Incredible! Five stars isn't high enough!! We're going back soon!!!

Such a warm and welcoming restaurant with an old Italian environment. Our waiter was Grant he was excellent and very attentive. We had the chicken and eggplant parm, both were excellent. We will be back!

What a hidden gem! This place has such a warm charm and the staff was super courteous. The food was delicious. We were given garlic bread while we decided what we wanted. Our waitress was attentive and the bartender put a game on the TV for us as we wanted to see a baseball game. We had the pesto linguine that was delicious and the Primavera with Alfredo sauce and linguine. So good! We will definitely be coming back.
