My first time trying this place. I was very excited to try their juicy dumplings. I was a little disappointed in the service, the server didn’t seem that friendly and there a little bit of a language barrier where he couldn’t understand what were askingThe garlic broccoli was very very wet and my son found a slime like substance on the broccoli. The portions were way too big. We asked for a smaller portion option and the employee said it wasn’t available. We also asked if we can get plain dry noodles prepared for my little one and the employee told us that was also not available.Customer service wasn’t great, food quality was okay.. there should be smaller options available

I come here with my family every time I’m in town. Beef noodle soup is very good, and sweet and sour is also good. Homemade dumplings and just quality Chinese food.

Excellent little dumpling shop. So glad we discovered this and we don't have to go all the way to South Coast Plaza just to get good soup dumplings. Will definitely be back.

We had chow mein, steamed buns, fried rice, green beans, and both steamed and fried dumplings. Everything tasted unique to its own flavor and was delicious ? We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Yum Dumpling and will be returning soon!

Love this place. We come once a week. We’ve tried most dishes but certainly have our favorites. Their go-to are the “pan fired buns” and handmade dumplings (Chinese cabbage & pork; both fried and boiled. Soup dumplings are also very good. BBQ pork Fried rice is awesome. (Don’t get the combo fried rice; it’s made with ‘spam’ which is not used in Chinese cooking so weird that this cook uses it. Hmmm!? The noodle soups are incredibly delicious. Just tried the hot dry noodles which is tasty. No alcohol license. No service. You come for the food.

Without a doubt, the best dumplings and noodles you will ever eat In the City of Orange. We feel so lucky to have such a fabulous restaurant with great take out so close to our home. This little restaurant tucked away in a tiny strip mall is a must for anyone who loves this type of food. Great food and casual ambiance. The service is excellent along with the spicy dips!

Saturday. 1/13. Lunch timeOutside: small center but ample parkingInside: about 10 tables with 4 seating at each tableFood: pan-fried dumplings, pork fried rice, and soup dumplings. The fillings of both pan-fried and soup dumplings were savory but the outside were a bit thick/doughy, and chewy. Drinks (soda) are from cans vs fountain. The staff were nice and tables were cleaned.

BEWARE!!! We were served raw pork in our pan fried bun. It wasn't just a little bit raw but more than 50% raw! My wife actually took a large bite and ate it before realizing that.Of course we lost our appetite after that and couldn't trust any of the other food they were serving to us so we packed up and started to leave. The waiter then had the nerve to hand over the bill to pay for the food (we only ate one dish of the 4 we ordered)! Of course I argued my point and was able to convince him why we shouldn't be payingm and then left.

The outside of the restaurant looks like an old Yoshinoya, but it is a traditional Chinese restaurant. We had several courses including dumplings which were really good. Also had beef noodle soup which was great. Spicy wontons and the garlic green beans all were good. Also had the eggplant which was good. I would definitely come back again. Parking is fairly good. Service is prompt and professional.

It was my first time to eat here with my son. I ordered hot dry noodles and siomai, and my son ordered beef fried rice. I thought it was good, and later I brought my friends to eat. Siomai and hot dry noodles are of course the first choice. After all, it is difficult to eat authentic Wuhan snacks in Los Angeles. I guess the owner and chef is an authentic Wuhan native. This is a rare restaurant that I want to come back to after eating there once, and I want to come back again after the second time. The price is good.

Food was fresh. I did a phone order and arrived early on purchase. It was not ready, so I'm happy. Why? That meant it's still being made. I had plenty of time to wait. I order pan-fried pork buns. The bun was soft and dough was more like made this morning. The pork was good with meat and fat ratio. It wasn't overly chewy for pork so I suspect they used baking soda. It was not salty-perfect. Bathroom hygiene needs work. There needs to be more cleaning.I would recommend this place.
