This is my all time favorite restaurant. I've been coming to the Casa since I was 21 years old, im 70ish now. Food is always great, never a bad one. Try to get there at lease once a week. The hostess are so wonderful, call you by name. All around the best!

Our first time at casa orinda. They offered valet parking for us. In these times where restaurants are cutting back they actually have increased their service at this location. We had a friendly welcome coming in.We sat down just as they were opening up at four p m for the dinner time. A white selection of menu items from a simple sandwich to a pasta to a rack of lamb to their what I had was the best fried chicken and a very very long time. My wife and I both ordered a silver patron margarita and it was just perfect to the taste. Our food came out.My wife's hamburger looked delicious. My chicken was amazing, creamy, mashed potatoes and perfectly.Cook vegetables. To do on our dinner we were constantly ask if everything was fine.If our food was good we need anything else so very good hospitality. We had the manager come by Claudia. And also offered any assistance that we need. And the food was okay and introduce yourself. Our waitress Rosalara She was very sweet and kind and took care of us from the beginning to the end. On highly recommend to come in and take a look at this restaurant and enjoy their fine food in atmosphere in ambiance. It did remind me of the Bold knight in san jose had the same kind of twist to it but in a way a different look and feel but the service was amazing.

Casa Orinda is GREAT! But watch out for this app, Open Table, Casa had us down for 6:45pm but I put reservation in for 8:15pm. Casa took care of it immediately and got us a very nice table by the fire. I told Casa I'll just call. Was trying something new for reservation.

I've been eating at Casa Orinda for more than 40 years. My favorite, Veal Vincente, has been downgraded in taste and presentation. It used to be layered with thick slices of eggplant, round slices of veal, and bearnaise sauce. Today the eggplant is thin and not fresh- maybe purchased frozen. Instead of bearnaise, it has a brown sauce with bearnaise dribbled over the top. Bearnaise also appears to be purchased - flavor has been downgraded. It used to be a fabulous dish. Now, not so much. Yet the price has been increased to almost unreasonable. I still love the bread. While a plate of lettuce (maybe some carrots strips) is "just" $10, their salad dressings are good. Service is always good. A little shocked to pay over $60 for the prime rib special. Yes, it was massive, but the server should have mentioned the price and size.

Ordered out. Tasty fried chicken, mashed potatoes and steamed veggies. Friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we got our food order and it stayed crispy even thru transport.

Sadly, my entire meal was terrible. Steak sandwich, no salt on any thing. Onion rings were a total disappointment and the steak itself was old, tough and grissley. The only saving grace was the very strong gin and tonic.

Come for the chicken dinner but be prepared for a staff that really doesn't want to be there.

Always go to celebrate my birthday with the BEST fried chicken this side of the Mississippi! It's excellent and the martinis aren't bad either. It's a wonderful and consistent restaurant. Valet parking is a nice touch.

Had another great experience at Casa Orinda. Went there on a Wednesday night with reservations for five. The place was packed. Maybe a little understaffed. Had to be ready to order when waitstaff came around. Still great food and once we got things ordered, things were timely. Casa Orinda is still great and I'm so glad they are around serving classic American dishes.

We went for an anniversary dinner. We scored a table near the fireplace, which was very nice. My wife had the Cobb salad to satisfy her craving for the blue cheese dressing, and I had the legendary fried chicken. Everything was very good and it was a great way to celebrate.

We loved every aspect of the night out. The hostess and waitstaff are such pros. Wonderful food, so many great options. Perfect drinks from the bar. The valet is so welcomed as well.

One of my go-to dinner spots in Orinda. I love the Prime Rib, Fried Chicken, lasagna when they have it as a special is out of this world. The burger is solid, but for something off the beaten path, try the ham steak & eggs! They've got Doren Cab & Josie Rosé on the wine list too, great price on a bottle of the Cab at $65 which is barely over the $50 retail price! Nice people working there too, say hi to Claudia the awesome GM, C the hostess or Lee the bartender. Love the mountain lodge meets old west saloon type of vibe, it's very unique and has a very special old school feel.
