Always shorthanded here it seems. Convoluted payment necessary due the new 5% discount for cash. Horrible phone service calling in any to-go order. Owner / manager never seems happy. Last time, he told me someone else would need to help me pay for a take-out order, though he was standing right there. Assistance didn't arrive for a while...

Best Mexican food in town, carne asada tacos are my go to but everything we get there is good and the staff are always attentive.

What happened to this place? It use to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in Oroville. After a long illness I was finally able to go out to lunch. I was very disappointed. The beans smelled and tasted rotten. As my friend and I was finishing up our lunch the waiter came to our table reaching in front of our faces to clear the table. He even leaned over the table he was between me and my friend as we tried to have a conversation. Needless to say I will not be going back! So rude!

Used to come here a lot but unfortunately, the price hikes are not worth it anymore. $60 for the two iced teas, cheese dip with chorizo (barely any crumbled on top, almost $3 more for the chorizo) lunch size burrito, lunch portion of pollo crema (literally only had 4-5 thumb sized chicken crumbles in it). Service is always good and staff is friendly, but upon my asking why my chicken dish barely had chicken it and complete liquid with onions and mushrooms was sent back to me by the chef and I was told “it was weighed”. Felt like I was just being blown off. Definitely has changed in a negative way since they remodeled :(

This is a small restaurant but trust me the wait is worth it!! The food was awesome, the service was exceptional and the server made you feel so welcome AND the margaritas, chips and salsa were terrific. We will definitely come back when we are in town!!! PLEASE support this restaurant so it is there the next time we are in Oroville.

Been in Oroville the last couple days and came to this restaurant. I'm always up for Mexican food and having heard everything here is inexpensive, this visit was a no-brainer. Your standard chips and salsa await as you as you sit down. (This isn't a dig in any way. I'm just pointing that out.) And you get a serving of beans. I liked their salsa, it had more spice and flavor than what I've experienced in other local Mexican restaurants. It also looked very red, which made it all the more appetizing. I ordered the enchiladas with chicken. It came with rice and beans. If you don't want one, you can substitute and get double rice, or double beans. The enchiladas definitely did it for me - stuffed with chicken, and the mole sauce they used had a little bit of a smokey flavor. I like mole to be on the savory side, and this mole was! Rice was fine, I didn't get those hard little bits that occasionally pop up when you cook rice. Beans are always good in my opinion, just don't eat too many of them. The service we had left something to be desired. Our waiter was disorganized and we had to summon a waitress waiting other tables for refills. It seemed only ours wasn't on top of things - all the other workers were putting in the effort. New staff member? From the outside it looks small, but on the inside it's a whole other story: ample seating and plenty of room in the back if you have a large group of people wanting to eat here. I love places where you can go right on in, sit down, order something quickly and get in and out in half an hour. And if the food's cheap, that's even better! I would be more than interested in visiting again someday in the near future.

People very friendly, food was okay but nothing I would rave about. Left me thinking where they left the flavor. Portions were good, salsa, Guacamole was good.

The food is good when we were there the Christmas decorations had just been taken down and the traditional Mexican decor was not put back up so, lacking authentic atmosphere. Also be sure to get bottled beverages as the water has strong chlorine bromine and fluoride taste this could be remedied by the admin installing a filtration system the taste of water just saying
