We had the mac n cheese, potato salad, ribs, pulled pork, yams, and cobbler. Food was definitely below mid. No flavor in the Mac n cheese just tasted like pasta with melted cheese, no creaminess. Potato salad was okay, a little too sweet for my liking. Ribs and pulled pork were overcooked but the bbq sauce was good. Yams were over seasoned with cinnamon but were cooked good. Cobbler was alright. Hawaiian roll was good. Food 2/5 stars. Delivery service was 5/5, quick.

Same great food and service that we've come to expect. We first started ordering from CJ's when they were in Ventura, and drive to their current location from Camarillo.
The quality, quantity and taste of the food is pretty good other than it was barely like warm when served.The customer service was less than impressive. We walked in as the employee was helping 2 people ahead of us. They were talking about the restaurant business. We got no greeting, or "hi, be right with you" as their discussion continued. 8minutes later they finally ordered. Still no greeting when we stepped up to order. In fact, he didn't even ask what we were going to have, he just looked at us. We ordered and the food was brought out to us. We thanked him and that was the last we saw of him until he brought us a to go bag, although we didn't need it.Ambiance was as good as an outdoor patio could be.I think next time I have a hankering for BBQ, I'LL go back to Smokin' J's. Their customer service is a little better but the food is better and it's served hot.

Good BBQ, Lady at the front register was awesome. Man in the back refused to provide a to go box, bring Tupperware if you don't want to stuff your left overs from four people in a brown bag.

Amazing food! Friendly service, and a big portion of fresh and tasty food for your dollar. I had to stop by for the 2nd day in a row, after tasting their homemade potato salad and tri tip - the smoker is out in the parking lot, so you know they're making it fresh. The fried catfish is out of this world! I was thinking I should have tried grilled, but once I got a taste, I was grateful I hadn't. Next up, I'll be trying the baby back ribs and trying to choose amongst the many mouth-watering sides.

Terrible customer service. I called in an order for ONE tri-tip sandwich today plain no sauce .. The girl was too busy talking to someone else that she took my order wrong and charged me for 4 orders of full tri tip sandwiches when I told her the order was wrong she got an attitude and made it seem like her taking my order wrong was my fault I ended up taking the 4 sandwhicws because the atiridue the girl had .. Never in my life will I go to this place again!
I am from Memphis Tennessee and we do have the best BBQ but we I tell you CJ 'S ON IT MY GOD HE ON IT??????????!!!!!!
