The food is kinda awful. The chicken and tri-tip are very bland and dry. Sauce is required to make them edible. The Chile beans are also bland. Would not reccomend eating here at all.

Always pass by this bbq spot but have never stopped in to try. Leaving the movies tonight BBQ sounded great. But, I should've known when there wasn't anyone inside the restaurant over 2 hrs before close on a 80° day and both of the workers were sitting by the register when I walked in. I ordered a tri tip sandwich medium rare... definitely well done. The tri tip gave of what i would describe as a lighter fluid or chemical taste that isn't edible so I couldn't eat more than 2 bites. My fiancé ordered nachos which was CHEAP plain and not what we expected... it was chips and canned cheese. No chips were crunchy by the time we got home less than 10 minutes away. Extremely disappointing for $30!!!! GO TO BUSTER'S OFF OF JOHNSON DRIVE!!

This place surprised me. Based of the reviews I read on here I wasn't expecting very much. This is the best place in town for Ribs! Beef Ribs and Baby Back Ribs are Bomb even without the sauce! The Brisket is just ok. Do yourself a favor and get the ribs. Delicious!

Sad experience here as it used to be to go to place I’d recommend to my people’s friends and families. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place after my last visit. Walked in needed to use the restroom asap. Asked and a person who I thought was an employee, guy was like over there. Used up the restroom. Then proceeded to get my order that I phoned in. Said employee responded where did you order. I stated over the phone. He said I don’t know that. I asked him why the bad attitude? He shrugged his shoulders. I stated you shouldn’t be like that if you work here. He pounded his chest and proclaimed himself as the owner. I asked him to quickly process my order as I will never be back. Anyone who reads this review I strongly urge everyone to go elsewhere, anywhere elsebut this place. The owner is out of touch with reality. Go to Lil Ceaser’s for a five dollar pizza before you go to this place.

Tri tip salad was delicious! They did not scrimp on the tri- tip. I enjoy this establishment because they are extremely friendly and have great food.

My family, who is visiting our son in the Air Guard in Oxnard, ordered take out for 8 people and found that we were missing several items...when I called to let them know that we did not receive 4 side items totaling $18.70 of our $131.74 order, the person on the phone argued with me that he included those items and told me I was wrong, then hung up on me. I was kind and only asking to be reimbursed. When I called back, the people working wouldn't answer the phone. If you want to be treated rudely... that's what you'll find here. Poor service and not military friendly.

Go-to bbq spot in Oxnard!! I always order the pork rib dinner with macaroni salad. Meat is tender and flavorful. Fair prices (the plates have LOTS of meat). The place is pretty casual and not too busy most of the time. Highly recommend!!!

Worst first experience ever here at the Oxnard location. They messed up my entire order and they gave me spoiled macaroni's, coleslaw and beans. I will never return to this spot ever again

The food was so bad. The ribs tasted like a pork chop and looked like it too. They had no seasoning, were white and chewy and not slow cooked by any means. You could only taste and cinnamon and spice and nothing else on the bbq. Very very odd bbq sauce. We barely ate any of it.

I came here for the first time on my lunch break and I was amazed by the food! I ordered a tri-tip sandwich; the meat was tender and had a lot of flavor to it. They definitely give you your moneys worth for what you’re buying! They loaded my sandwich with a lot of meat and I will definitely be coming back here for lunch every now and then. The wait times here are usually short :)
