Great place to go if your looking for an authentic Mexican Bakery. Masa and pastries are awesome.

I recently moved to Texas and I can truly say I missed buying my Masa from La Central Bakery. I brought some masa here in Texas and my tamales didn't taste the same. Next year BEST BELIEVE I'm flying to my home town Oxnard to buy the masa for my tamales. My family and I missed La Central Bakery this Christmas

Good selection but the floor tortillas are more of a store bought taste

Nice people. Busy place, get in line. Worth it. Best tamales, best masa (for do-it-yourselfers.) If you're not making your own tamales, this is where everyone goes. Love this place.

I am very sad to say, after I've come here for over 50 years and would tell everyone i know to come here, it is no longer the place i loved. I picked up some tamales and pan dulce. The pan dulce is ok but not what it used to be. I don't know if the ingredients are no longer the same quality or they changed owners or bakers but it's just not what it used to be. The last 3-4 times I've gone it just seems to be going down. The tamales are not anywhere near the delicious ones i used to get. The service is ok, disappointed that the last few times when i try to find out what's changed the people act like i don't know what I'm talking about. Ambiance is the same old place with some slight renovation but so little it's not noticeable. I went in today and bought a buñuelo and it was the worst thing i have bitten into! It left a rancid coating of bad oil, Manteca, i don't know but it was horrid! Sorry but i would not come back nor will i be recommending!

Stopped in at this bakery a couple weeks ago since I happened to be parked on the same street. The man woking there was so friendly and it was an absolute pleasure talking to him. I purchased a niño envuelto an a pack of their fresh corn tortillas. Highly recommend you stop in and pick up a few items!

Stopped by today to buy a couple pieces of Mexican bread. It was not good. Very bad taste and very dry. I threw them away. $4.50 to the trash. I would suggest the owner try his bread before selling it.

I bought a variety of bread today including 3 pumpkin empanadas today. My mom ate her and I split mine in half and guess what I found? Mold! We open the other one and the inside was covered with mold. I can not believe that they cost $2.75 each. Went to inform how much the masa was but why will not be getting my money. The cashier told me the empanadas were made fresh today. But I don't think that amount of mold is created in one day. I sure they refrigerate them at the end of the night if they don't sell. The young woman behind the counter also insulted me since I answered her in English and not Spanish. I really hope my mom does not get sick
