Ive been coming here since newly opened in 92 back when they sold tacos for .50 . Food is great but over the years sorry to say the quality has been a lil less.. ive allways gotten a torta de buche and is still great but the pastor has sloqly gone down from where it used to be. Maybe a different vendor or maker? The gorditas have also gone down. Dont think theyre fresh anymore . Been there on 2 occasions in past week and both times they have been cold and soggy not crisp like before. Maybe the assistant cook is slacking... but will still go for the tortas de buche..

Nothing seemed fresh at all. My meet was cold. Didn’t even finish my sope or tacos because it was just too gross to eat.

If they're open, you could do a lot worse than Tacos DF! If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, Tacos DF is the place to go. We ordered gorditas and flautas for lunch - and it was a great choice. The flautas were outstanding: sour cream was the only thing they put on them, and they serve it with guacamole, cheese, salsa, and tomatoes on the side. Their salsas are extremely tasty - both red and green - and are great on top of the flautas. The gorditas are pretty darn good, considering the fact that NOBODY makes gorditas in Ventura country with any authenticity. Mind you, their gorditas are not as good, say - La Tapatia in Ysleta (El Paso), Texas - but they are pretty damn good. They have horchata, jamaica, and even atole - but they also have an extensive selection of soda...and even Mexican Coca-Cola. This place is on my list of places I would not only return to again, but I'd return again and again. When you go, enjoy!
Absolutely one of my favorite taco places to go to in town, the taste is authentic. They're extremely fast and well priced. A definite hidden gem in our town, the service is always great and the fast is event better!
