The worst burrito I ever had and that is saying something as one has to really try hard to make a bad burrito. I wanted, chicken, rice and cheese, and received 80% rice, 20 % beef product and no cheese. The beef was some kind of weird carne and barely looked edible. I asked for a water and didn't get it. All for the low low price $12.51. The cocinero had his underage son manning the cash register, aww, yeah it's cute 'til I realized the kid doesn't know anything about manning a cash register and asked me the same questions repeatedly. The Annex has a high turnover rate of establishments and this place will leave soon as well.

Never going back there again. I went on my lunch break and ask the girl how long the order was going to take she said 15-20 mins mind you there is only 2 people in front of us so I ordered. Another person who order said I think your order is ready. When I went up there the two girls were confused and said that my order wasn't ready. Since it was taking long I asked if I can get my Horchata. By now the people who ordered after me were already getting their order, 45 mins later I ask how much longer the order was going to be. She told me 5 mins then the manager or the top guy who ever he is comes out and I ask him if she had even put my order in. Turns out my order was ready the whole time and the horchata tasted like it had been sitting for 4 days and was watered down.

Used to like this place! But now its completely a disappointment. all the meats were trash. it was dry, no flavor, & no over cooked. theres not been a time where i took one bite of my food & threw it away & it happened to today. if i couldve gotten my money back, i wouldve. not ever going back here.

Don’t believe a lot of the negative reviews about this place, would you really trust a reviewer that only has 1-5 reviews and their review being how horrible this place is? Most likely a fake email being used to slander this place, I think so.I love this restaurant and have been going here since it’s been opened and I always enjoy their food. They are an extension of a chain of El Tapatio Restaurants in Ventura County. My first loved restaurant was the one in Moorpark while I was studying at Moorpark College, similar great food. There are more scattered throughout Oxnard but this one is the most convenient for my Wife and I.The burritos here are portioned well and are enough for big appetite eaters. I asked the Chef if he would make custom XXL burritos like the BurritoZilla from Iguanas (San Jose, CA) and he said they are able to do so too.I always like to get their burritos and quesadillas (asada, carnitas, pollo, or al pastor). All I can say when eating here would be how satisfied I am and that the nice staff, especially the Cool Chef Brother there. I also mention that they are doing a great job and I always am grateful with tipping them for their exceptional service.Thanks again, and don’t believe the haters that gave this place low ratings. ???????

Food was the quality I expected, order was prepared and done the way I asked for (no salsa or cheese on my tacos is my usual)However, recently they have not been so keen on the "following order instructions" part.I ordered my usual taco order. however they did not listen to the instructions of "no salsa or cheese". Or my most recent order with my asada fries they included everything else but the things I actually wanted included.It wouldn't be that bad, unfortunately the quality of the food was a steep drop in quality. Meat tasted undercooked, beans almost felt raw to the point were it was like eating peanuts. toppings like onion and cilantro tasted out of date; onions were gooey and cilantro smelled and tasted rancid.The other locations across oxnard are much more up to snuff on what is expected. This particular location is like a shameful rip off (even though they are part of the same chain)

My husband and I shared a carne asada burrito. It was delicious! Their asada isn't dry and chewy like most asada. We will go back and order the same thing when we are in the area again. My husband also liked their spicy salsa.

I don't understand how this place still exists in the annex. ordered a chicken quesadilla and a drink yesterday. Total came out to 22$ with a tip. My husband and i aren't the type to gripe if the food is right. Well, the quesadilla was sooooo greasy. Needless to say my husband, my 4 year old, and myself all had stomach aches and several trips to the restroom after eating here. I would've given this place another chance but after reading the recent reviews, it doesn't surprise me at all.

Never going again just sat waiting for food and overheard cook tell his coworker that he f’d up an order in Spanish and he told her to look and they both laughed AND HE STILL PACKED THE ORDER. Was not mine was the person before but couldn’t even eat because I was uncomfortable eating the food knowing the cook was messing up others orders. I always go to the other locations and the food is amazing but never coming to this one again sorry.

I never write any review but after ordering the lady handed me my drinks and said the lids are a bit loose but should be fine and after walking out with all 3 in the cup holder the drinks started to spill fast. Also after I ordered I sat in front of the Cooking area and heard the only cook there say in Spanish that they f***** up someone else's order and told the lady to look and once she looked they both laughed and he continued to package the order. Then he looked at me and said if it was my order bc it's ready and I said no I ordered something else and he said rudely kinda yelling "well those tacos are ready so if they are yours go get them" and I told him after I never ordered that and so he asked what I did order then got mad because he said my order isn't on the menu but after I showed him my receipt.
Ordered the taquitos and had the best hospitality by the cook !! even offered free caldo de papa ! honestly felt like i was eating at home (: the cook was the nicest and said to tell him if i needed anything !! i never write reviews but i felt the need to share (:

Wow my son goes there tonight,orders Beef taquitos sits down with son and finds potatoes inside (No Meat) Returns back to counter and inform Manager,she tells him they ran out of beef.My son tells her " I paid for beef" and I should have my money back. She tells him customers have never complained before,and she tells him she can't refund him till tomorrow. By that time Security has arrived was informed of problem. My son said forget it and walked out with son. What a Manager to say "customers never complained before" That tells me they have done this before,Security ( Sparky) follows my son out of building. What a joke this is,who they have there running this place. Good luck if you go there. With gas prices it was not worth going back next day for refund. Hope someone from County,consumer dept goes by and check on them, because they are not worthy of their product they sell.

Overpriced for what you're getting. Cashier told me the asada fries come in a big box which sounded appealing to me so I ordered it. Big buck for some big fries? Not really. I got my order and sure there was a big box but to my surprise there was barely anything. It was about less than a fourth full. Why use such a big box for a small portion of fries and all for $14?? I can tell you 4 other places in Oxnard that give you way more fries for about half the price. Smh
