Nice friendly staff, portions are decent sized, pulled pork sandwich wasn’t very good, Mac and cheese wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t call it Mac and cheese it was more like butter noodles with whatever seasoning they put on the top, fries were nothing special, “spicy” bbq sauce was more sweet than spice. Overall I would not return again.

Great BBQ. Brisket sandwich and Mac & Cheese was excellent.

Came here because of the ratings but I was very disappointed. Bread was salty and Mac and cheese was more Mac and oil no cheese.

My family decided to give it a try and we ordered delivery. It was... just ok. The ribs were just ok, the tri-tip was a bit rubbery, and the brisket was mostly fat. The sides were decent except the Mac n' cheese which was disappointing. I ordered it thinking that the kids would love it... unfortunately it was just ok. It's not a bad place... but I don't think I would return.

Called in my order of brisket and a 2 meat plate with tri-tip/brisket, side of mac n cheese and cole slaw. Asked if they were generous with the BBQ sauce. They said, "We can be generous!" I asked for the price and the guy said he'd ring me up when I got there. How hard is it to give prices for 2 items? There's a reason. Read on and check out the screenshot of my receipt. The order was ready when I arrived. I paid and had the receipt sent to my email. When I got home, I was disappointed to see they really *couldn't* be generous with the BBQ sauce. See pictures of the pathetic drizzle. When I checked my receipt, I found I'd been charged an extra $1 for the brisket. $20/lb on the menu but $22/lb real charge. Wth? Between the denied request for generous amount of sauce and the sneaky extra charge, they've lost my business for good. The brisket was tender and smoky. The mac n cheese was not made today and was dry, barely warm. I didn't have any of the tri-tip or cole slaw, so I can't comment on those.

I asked for the price and the guy said he'd ring me up when I got there. Since internet menu prices were all different, I asked again. He acted like he didn't know even though the prices are on the menu boards but finally gave me a total. The order was ready when I arrived. I paid and had the receipt sent to my email. It can be difficult to find good barbeque in the midtown Ventura area that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I was introduced to Ventura BBQ company during the shutdowns and I was using delivery services on a regular basis. Ventura BBQ company is a bit of far from Midtown, but when I tell you the drive is worth it and an extra tip for delivery, I really mean it! There's nothing fancy about this restaurant, but it doesn't need to be, the tri-tip is mouth watering tender, and the baby back ribs fall off the bone. You have three choices of sides, Baked beans (yum) macaroni and cheese, and coleslaw. I knocked off one star because I believe they could use some improvement on the mac and cheese, it's a bit greasy, in fact the last time I ordered it there was a pool of grease at the bottom of the container. Baked beans are delicious, and the coleslaw is fresh and tasty! Craving BBQ order a tri-tip sandwich today, they don't skimp on the meat! Oh and join their VIP club too!

DAMN good BBQ. You guys earned 5 stars for sure! I ordered the brisket, tri tip, coleslaw and mac & cheese. Meat was nice and tender full of flavor and sauce was amazing! Couple days later I ordered the redneck grill cheese and holy s*** that was damn good. If you like bbq you MUST try this place.

Really wanted to like this place however we did not. We ordered a rib plate, 2 meat plate and side of Mac for my 3 year old. The ribs were tender good texture but they taste like straight smoke. Maybe smoke lovers will like but I could not eat them. My husband who does like smoked bbq did not care for them either. The tri tip is served one way which is well done, the texture of this meat is tough. The pulled pork does have good flavor but it's not enough for me to return. The coleslaw is not bad but nothing special. The tater tots where super greasy and over cooked. Lastly, the Mac and cheese ordered for my 3 year old she did not eat because of the spices on it. I will give it 3 stars based on this is just my opinion, If I am completely honest it's a 1 for me and I won't be back or recommend.

I used to love this place but not after today. Food arrived cold. The bread is way over cooked and the brisket is mostly fat. Also asked for no sauce on the chicken and yet they put sauce on it
