Lived out my Mischa Barton OC dreams by hanging out at the Bait Shop (i.e. Chit-Chat Café) at the pier this morning with my baby. Staff held the door open for me so I could maneuver the stroller inside. Prices are great, staff is super friendly and helpful, coffee is solid, and there are tons of food options. The ambiance is a charmingly worn coastsiders dream, complete with deteriorating vintage green stools. I'm bored of sleek monotone contemporary coffee shops, and much prefer a space like Chit-Chat that has so much character and is, I'm certain, home to quite a few characters as well.

Love love loooove the chit chat! Was amazing before the new ownership, and still amazing after the new ownership. The owners are so so sweet & they continued to value what makes the cafe unique. The food is great and fresh & there's a beautiful ocean view. The vibes are wonderful for doing work or reading.

My friends and I were in Pacifica and wanted to grab coffee, and I'm glad we chose Chit Chat Café. It was a rainy day, but it just made it feel even cozier inside. There was live music, which we were not expecting but it was an awesome surprise. The musicians were grooving and clearly had a familiar audience before them with who I imagined were the regulars. I ordered a chai with almond milk, which was too sweet for my liking. I prefer more spicy chai, but this one at least had a chai flavor. Make sure you check the pastries, the one my boyfriend was going to get was moldy. We ended up getting a bagel instead. There was enough seating for my group of 8 and it wasn't too busy. I'd definitely come again for the chance of catching those amazing musicians again and hopefully the sun is out the next time I'm here!

This place can get busy ppl like to stay for a while and not leave! lol Please bring back some the outdoor tables so ppl can sit --had to sit at the outdoor bench when i last came instead of staying longer to catch up on some bills. Will go back next week to support a friend who's playing next weekend.

A quaint, charming cafe right off the beach! When we dropped in today there was a live jazz band which was awesome! Got a veggie bagel which was delicious! Unfortunately the iced latte I got was basically just milk with very little coffee, which was disappointing.

My favorite place to get coffee and a bagel with my puppy. Also mimosas and music on the weekends!Edit 2 years later. The worst. 2 times now the new guy working is HORRIBLE. HE IS RUDE AND A MORON! SOMEONE NEEDS TO SHOW THE JERK WHERE THE ESPRESSO BEANS ARE. WE WILL NOT RETURN UNTIL HE IS TRAINED OR FIRED

New Chit-Chat Cafe owners , Branden and Ginger have are doing right by the place.Great coffee.Excellent variety of food.Beautiful view!Weekend music on Saturday and Sunday. And an improvement in the business hours being open until 5 pm everyday. They also made it easier to pay with a new point of sale system that easily recognized my payment via my phone.Looking forward to more great times at Chit-Chat Cafe on Manor.
