Heard about this from.my granddaughter. We love Chinese food and hadn’t found a place near us in Daly City. This was just delicious. We had 9 different dishes and everyone of them was fabulous. Cooked to,order, fresh,lightly battered, crispy. Judy was so friendly and enjoyable. Treat yourself to an affordable delicious meal. We are looking forward to,our next visit. They do not have their liquor license yet, so we took our own wines. Very accommodating and so so good!1

Came here for the first time and was welcome by the new owner! Had the pancakes, soup dumplings, Mongolian beef and house fried rice as an introduction meal!Coming back for the basil, curry, and prawns next time around!!!

We just moved out here and tried Soul Rice for the first time! We got Veggie Chow Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, Kung Pao Chicken, and Veggie Spring Rolls. Everything was amazing and we will definately be coming back!

Went here last night for dinner with my family and this is definitely a hidden treasure! Our party of 6 was seated right away at 5pm and the service was excellent - the owner is super friendly and kept checking to make sure we were okay. The space is simple and it's not a huge restaurant so make sure to make a reservation if you have a larger party. It seemed like many were stopping in for pick up orders, but there are certain dishes that are harder takeout so I would definitely try eating in. Some of my fave dishes: Fried chicken wings - these were so flavorful and super crispy, but not so crispy where the crispies overtake the chicken - the chicken inside was tender and juicy.Crab - this is something I don't usually cook at home so I always appreciate having crab in a restaurant. The seasoning was just enough, but not too much where it overpowers the flavor of the crab.Prawns with walnuts - this is a standard dish that my kids love. There were also some fried squash included which I liked. Steamed fish - this was also simple and good. I can't remember the type of white fish but sometimes this fish has tons of bones which makes it impossible to eat. The fish was prepared well so the bones separated from the fish easily.House special fried rice (not pictured) - with chicken and mushrooms which was different than I'm used to but this was good and the veggies tasted fresh. I'll definitely be back both for takeout and to eat in. It's rare to find a solid Chinese restaurant that is both delicious and not overpriced. Hoping everyone doesn't find out about this one or else it may be hard to get a table in the future :)

Great food and even better service. The owner and son made me and my family feel welcomed and to top it up the food was really good too (Singapore noodles and chicken wings). We definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

Finally got to try this place and am sorry I didn't before now! The inside is pretty simple - a few tables and chairs to dine in, though I get the feeling they do a lot of takeout. You order electronically on a nifty little console. The person behind the counter also offered to take our orders directly if we preferred, but we used the console instead. It was super easy to pick our items and pay. Then we waited! Perfect number of options to pick from too. They don't have a beer and wine license but they do have hot and cold tea, diet and regular soda and bottled water. We opted for the hot oolong tea (so good).We also ordered the egg rolls, singapore noodles and basil curry chicken. The egg rolls were plentiful and savory - the inside was kind of like a meat and veggie paste (?) but super tasty. The singapore noodles had a nice level of spice and excellent flavor. The basil curry was also quite good. We just sat there nodding and shoveling bites into our maws, silently in agreement that we WOULD be coming back. AND, I'll be getting the iced oolong to offset the heat of the dishes. Hot tea + spice = not my best decision that day.As mentioned before, the ambiance is casual so not a fine dining destination, but definitely a destination in general! Highly recommended and I can't wait to try the other dishes!

We had decided when we eat out, we will try a new restaurant. I stumbled upon Soul Rice over google. We ordered rice bowls, creating our own, and they were delicious! Huge portions and good prices with lots of options. I highly recommend Soul Rice.

We stopped here on our way out of San Francisco. We weren't expecting much from a fried rice restaurant in a tiny strip mall. Wrong! The fried rice was perfect. So were the pot stickers, egg rolls, and tea. There is also a limited selection of chow mein and side veggies. The staff is extra friendly. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: Create your own fried rice with lots of veggies options, including a vegan protein option (dried red bean curd), vegan and vegetarian chow mein, and vegetable sidesKid-friendliness: Small but uncrowded, room for families

Hidden gem in the Pacifica/Daly City area! The Truffle Mushroom Fried Rice, Basil Curry Chicken Fried Rice, and Beef Chow Mein tasted very fresh, clean, and not super oily.Portions are perfect and plate is packed with flavor. Service was very friendly!
