I would have walked right past this restaurant if it had not been for the ultra-friendly Karem, who invited us upstairs to the comfortable and festive restaurant. Karen was so very friendly and fun and sweet, and he was totally right that the baleadas were amazing. And unbelievably inexpensive!! We loved our dinner here and highly recommend the baleadas and Karem!

Can't decide who wins, the staff or the smoothies because everything was just perfect! You visit them once, and they remember you by your name for the rest of your stay. Greeting you like they have known you for years. Awesome!

Baleadas were good! They are a lot like a mix between a quesadilla and a wrap. I got a vegetarian one, but some of the veggie combos did seem odd in there (cucumber was strange mixed in and the lettuce got soggy). I enjoyed the beans and the cotija; I’d have liked a baleada with just those two items inside. Our waiter was awesome and I really enjoyed the atmosphere; he even brought some chips and salsa for our large group to share. They definitely aren’t as friendly in the grocery part.

Great food, fast, friendly service and amazing fresh fruits smoothies!! My husband got the coconut shrimp and loved it!! I opted for something more traditional/local meal and got the $6 chicken grill plate (forgot the name) but it was BBQ chicken, salad, rice and beans. It was very good. For dessert I got a fresh papaya smoothie! Yum!!

3 people in our party of four had lobster, which consisted of 2 small tails per plate, rice, salad and tomatoes. The fourth guest had chicken. We each had about two beers. Our bill totalled 1,500 limpira or $60! We sat on the second floor, overlooking the water and street scene below, while enjoying a setting sun and light breeze. Ask for Shaggy...

Hubby and I frequently have tasty take-out lunches and dinners from Calelu’s and highly recommend them! I can say, without exception, it’s my favorite place to eat on the island. We always feel welcomed by the friendly service even though we’ve only had take-out. We’ve enjoyed a variety of authentic food including baleadas, pastelitos, beef, chicken, pork, etc. The side-dish choices are also varied and always tasty. Today we had pork with pineapple bits in an amazing sauce, fried chicken, salad, and a soup with eggs. We’ve never had a bad meal there. You can read the day’s delicious choices on the menu board and see them in the serving trays. The friendly young man in the front will explain the different menu options and answer any questions in English or Spanish. You’ll place your order with him in the front, then pay in the back, where there is also a small grocery store, and get your order on the way out. The ladies behind the serving counter usually have my take-out ready to go by the time I’ve paid. The prices are very reasonable and tips are greatly appreciated. They accept USD, Lempiras, and credit cards. All staff wear masks. Parking is often available along the street. We highly recommend Calelu’s and will continue to eat there often. I want to get one of their baleada t-shirts. Be sure to read the reviews of my other Roatan adventures and see pics of my island pup! *Thank you for reading my review! We had several meals here. Excellent food, why we returned. Value for money was great here as most places in West End. Had lunches and dinners here all were good.

A one stop place in West End. Breakfast, lunch and dinner available. Seating at street level to be close to the action or grab a table upstairs for an amazing view. Great for a sunset. Handmade baleadas are amazing and cheap. Barbecue for two was delicious and very filling. A grocery store is attached. The shirts are an awesome souvenir, The Roatan Baleadas lol. Great place with an awesome local flair. Great staff!!!!

Great place in West End! We had lunch here one day and it was wonderful. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. We went upstairs where there are more tables and a decent view. We both had baleadas which were delicious and filling. Hubby had a beer, I had a soda. The bill was around $10. I saw some plates of fried chicken going to some local guys - the plates were heaped with food. Highly recommend Calelu’s!

Las dependientas mal encaradas, enojadas molestas, y no hay nada mas rico como una baleada pero lo sirven a uno como obligado, los plátanos muy duros y como secos. Pero sobre todo Terrible servicio al cliente
