My family and I really enjoyed our visit to Alps Village. The service was great and the food was delicious. If you want to point out little things..... The Nurnberg wurst was not a couple smaller sausages but one big one the same size as a normal Bratwurst but the taste was good and so not a complaint from me. I would have preferred sauerkraut and potato salad as options vs spaetzle and mashed potatoes. Still tasted good. The Jagerschnitzel was good. My daughter had a pizza as well and that was very good. She ate all of it. I will be back.

A very busy place with casual ambiance. Service could be a little slow at times. We liked the Wienerschnitzel and the goulash! We will be back to try more!

This is a great family-run operation. Authentic German cuisine served up right, with nice fresh German beers on tap... and one IPA. Greeted with a smile, hellos from the staff on our way to the table. Not rushed, but food came out fast and hot. Great recommendations from our waitress. All staff are very attentive and friendly. They do quite a business here. I recommend reservations.

We were in town to pick up some vintage China we bought from some really nice sellers and decided to try a cuisine our daughter has never tried. She loved the food and the atmosphere at this restaurant, which stayed open rather late on a weeknight. The best thing we ate? The sausages dipped in their amazing mustard! My Jagerschnitzel did not disappoint. I swear that mushroom gravy they douse it with will make shoe leather taste amazing! The hubby ordered the stuffed cabbage and wasn't wowed by it. My pasta-loving daughter ordered the Alps Kasspatzen and loved it. We ordered the baklava to share and wished we didn't. It was cloyingly sweet and soggy. It was a fun adventure, but one we most likely will not repeat.

It is a very nice and welcoming place. We had family from San Diego that drove up here and I was nervous at first to take them to Alps as I had never been there. Everyone absolutely loved it. We had three different kind of Schnitzel. My husband is a picky eater and actually finished the whole Jaeger Schnitzel. I had the gluten free Pork Schnitzel which was crispy from outside and juicy in the inside. The rest had stuffed cabbage rolls and licked their plates. Large ice cold beer kegs were great. As dessert we took home the Apfelstrudel which was exactly the way my mom used to make it. We will be back again. The Service was very good . Very kind and helpful. All in all we enjoyed ourselves. Nowadays this seems to be a rare thing as restaurants are not offering this kind of fresh and delicious meals anymore.

Just tried this place for the first time. The goulash is delicious and the staff were very nice and welcoming. Super convenient because it's right off of the freeway!

Bit noisy, didn't expect that. Loved the spaetsle. Didn't care for the cabbage rolls, the kraut cabbage didn't appeal to me. Apple strudel was excellent.

Food was good and the portions were nice! Service was good and the staff were all accommodating! Inside dining when full is VERY loud.

Ordered take-out.Veal shnitzel was so tough I couldn't cut it alone eat it. Mashed potatoes were high priced at $35 as it was only thing I could eat. Will never eat their food again.

The food was delicious; I had the veal schnitzel and red cabbage, which was spectacular. The servers were friendly, and I would recommend this place to anyone.

USA Today has said the Alps Village is a top 47 restaurant in America. What a joke - strictly very mediocre fare. If you want schnitzel, Johannes in Palm Springs is far better, and the best source of German food in the general area is George's in Calimesa.

Mom and Pop place is jampacked to the gills every time I've been. The food is delicious and comforting. The drinks are generous and the atmosphere is fun. I usually get the appetizer that's little sausages with this house made almost like pita bread, and then a side of the sauce that comes on the schnitzel, but they were out this time which was such a disappointment. But it did cause me to venture outside and try something else. I got The schnitzel and it was so stinking good. That sauce is just... Delicious and I want to spread it on everything. If it's dipable I'm putting it in that sauce. If I'm gonna knock anything it's at the prices are a little bit expensive. I'm sure it has to do with the quality of food that you're getting but four of us ate and had some drinks and it was like $300 after tip. And it's not fancy by any means. Comforting and good Still my favorite place to go anytime we come out to Palm Desert.
